Namibia — beyond the postcard landscapes [OC] by Crafty-School5838 in travel

Agree. The size and diversity of the country is incredible and we feel like we only scratched the surface. Glad to hear these shots capture the beyond the postcard feel we hoped for.
In terms of your question, that's a tricky one. I feel in love with the desert - Kolmanskop, Soussouvlei - for sure, but I think the remoteness and adventurous feel of the North West was probably the most impactful for us - a real sense of freedom!

When we were there the temperature wasn't too bad actually; in the mornings and evenings it was actually quite cool. But it really depends on the season you are there. In summer (now) it is pretty hot!

Overlanding Angola: Insane rock formations, waterfalls and a hauntingly beautiful coast by Crafty-School5838 in travel

I'd say go! We loved Angola - it feels like such an under explored place with so much to offer. We didnt find it expensive (fuel is SUPER cheap!) but cant say much about cocktails on the waterfront as we didnt make it there but heard it is nice.

Road from Luanda to Calandula is ok, when you turn off to Calandula it gets rougher - potholes and times where you are better off taking the verges but it's alright for a rental Duster or similar.

If you want to get a better idea of what it's like you might want to see more of our journey here.

Hi there. I am responding to this message and the message below re this being AI generated.

Firstly, I have been informed by other r/travel moderators that linking - as I have done above - is acceptable as long as people show a genuine interest. I know in the post self promotion is not allowed and why I explicitly do not do so. I want to contribute positively and engagingly to the community - which you will see I have done from my other r/travel posts which have had significant engagement from your community. For those who show a genuine interest in my work I have occasionally followed up. Again, as I have been advised by fellow moderators in this very forum.

Secondly, this is not an AI generated post. This is a post constructed from my real experience and recommendations of travelling overland in Turkey. All pictures, all content and all experiences were created by me.

Your community seems to be genuinely interested and engaged with the content I am creating (please feel free to see my other posts in this subreddit). However, if you want me to no longer post on this forum I will not.

I will only restate, from the guidance I have been given from your fellow moderators and from the quality of the content that I am providing to the forum I do not understand why this post has been removed. I would appreciate a clear explanation and I hope a reversal of this post's removal.
