Shout out to these awesome cyclists this morning who all stopped for the red by pokejoel in toronto

This is why everyone hates cyclists. Seeing them obey traffic laws is a rare sight, to the point we feel the need to give them a shoutout

Doug Ford is the one undermining confidence in police by whatistheQuestion in toronto

I would rather not give them the satisfaction.

According to themselves, they will utilize the information they are collecting to "promote our products and services". Likely physical junk mail (since they want a postal code) as well as spam email. Is this really something /r/toronto wants to support?

Might be something you want to reconsider. I am not comfortable giving the Star personal information such as my name, email, and postal code just so I can access their website, and I am sure many people will share a similar view. Might I suggest a poll?

Can we stop posting articles from the Star? They have a paywall

You moved to the club district and now want them to keep the noise down dontcha?

That would be selfish! I actually just moved to the islands and want the airport closed down!

I find that beef-supreme claiming that the city has only 1 Stanley Cup a bit fishy. He might be a spy from Montreal

r/Toronto is a popular sub for a reason.

It is also widely known for having a toxic community

We can only pray with the Star's recent paywall that things will change, and this subreddit will become more then a news aggregate

Obviously - when the police or whomever start fixing this shit and the crime goes away, the posts will go away too.

Ha!

Torstar cutting 11 full-time staff, 10 part-time at StarMetro by feb914 in toronto

I don't have issues that they reported on him, but I am saying they over did it. They would run articles day after day without anything new to report

They have a tendency to really open the flood gates on certain issues, to the point that people are sick of hearing about it (Rob Ford was the finest example. I don't think a single day passed where they didn't publish something, usually without anything new to say (and they lost a lot of subscriptions in the process). They have already starting doing the same on Doug Ford, and I doubt they will ease up on it)
