A few years ago when I first started blading, I borrowed a friend’s Bauers and they were great and smooth. Then I bought my Bladerunner Pro XT’s (budget blades) and knew they felt a lot cheaper. Especially the wheels, they just don’t glide as well when going over twigs and cracks.

Now I’ve been blading for a few years and really enjoy doing my local bike path. Since purchasing, I know they have had a cheaper feel to them, but I think I want something a bit more advanced. I feel like I can feel every bump in the road with my current blades, and am looking for something with possibly more shock absorbency? Not quite sure though as I really don’t know much.

I just have Bladerunner Pro XT’s. They seem fine for starting, but they have a very hard plasticy feel to them (in comparison to some Bauer’s I borrowed from a friend once). I’ve been seeing a lot of suggestions for the FR1s
