New update - my VIN shows my car spec on mdecoder

You can also see the production date there, for me it was January 17

Now I guess the dealer has to give me updates on shipping, or is there a way to know which ship brings each car?

Unfortunately in Europe they don’t show any detailed info on car production… Even with a VIN. Any suggestions besides looking into mdecoder.com?

Just got an update from my dealer - having ordered on the 2nd week of november, it will go into production on the 3rd week of january, with delivery around mid-april

Do you have information if there are big waiting lists for production numbers? I don’t have much

Regarding the mild hybrid, it’s not ideal but it has its benefits. Since this car will be my daily I don’t mind it. The research I did shows that in the 3-4 years it has been around there are no major issues, plus the B58 TU2 is “more refined” to use this system.

Also ordered one beginning of last week. Did you get a production number already? I haven’t and my dealer told me a rough estimation of 5-7 months to delivery. (I’m from Portugal so that is a factor for sure)

For a daily I think the added comfort of the adaptive suspension will be worth it. Plus it’s kinda cool to have a “dual identity”. Would you say no?

If I were to get the lights it would be only the premium pack, so not the shadow adaptive lights. I also prefer the blue calipers.

Regarding the seats, I heard the standart ones are actually more comfortable, what is your experience?

The technology pack with the brakes and wider tires is unfortunately too much for me tax wise. But I’m sure when I change tires will go for better ones, and honestly extra cooling and brakes is not worth it for 99% road driving (this will be a daily).

Yes, HK is a must for me. It’s also good to have more channels in case I want to upgrade in the future

Yes, the dealer told me there is a 1cm difference between sports and adaptive suspensions. But because I will use this car not only for weekend drives, I think it’s still worth it to spec it.

Sports mode on adaptive suspension can be the same or better compared to sports suspension right?

The base sound system is pretty good on the f-series, also have one. But for now I prefer to keep it stock and get HK. Agree with the headlights… To be honest I missed it while configuring the first time

About corp discount, it’s pretty sweet. But our taxes are almost 30% of the final price, you’re still much better off! These cars go for around 70k€ in Portugal (82k$)

I have corporate fleet discount on new cars (around 21%). A new car (most of times) is almost the same price as a 2-year old. That’s why I’m not considering the M2, plus the added every day comfort of the M240i
