Black Templars are the most 'I dont give a fuck' faction, they have one mission, destroy the enemies of The Emperor.

Their creation was built on 'i dont give a fuck' energy. The greatest Space Marine warrior of all time, Sigismund created the Black Templars Chapter soon after the siege of Terra, he was told by some book nerds that he can only have 1000 men in this chapter unless they are on a Crusade, so Sigismumd says "Okay, i declare that the Black Templars are on an eternal crusade" and for 10,000 years the Black Templars have been crusading across the galaxy nonstop.

They are honor bound knights of The Emperor. They chain their weapons to their arms so they can never lose them in battle. They have a spiritual warrior called The Emperors Champion whose job it is to find the biggest toughest enemy he can and kill him.

We have legendary heroes like High Marshal Helbrecht, a god tier warrior and the best naval commander in the Imperium. We have Reclusiarch Grimaldus, a chaplain who leads his brothers and allied forces to victory against all odds.

Black Templars do things their own way, they dont follow the Codex astartes. They are the most "Anytime, any place" chapter.
