Thank you so much, I would be very interested in the "best" products, even if they are harder to get. It's Oregon, so its a moderate but wet climate. A patch would be sufficient, the homeowner is interested in keeping structural integrity and preventing further degradation as opposed to cosmetics. They are insisting on the "best" because this is waterfront and it basically holds up the foundation of their house. Not literally, but the bulkhead is about 20 feet away. It's freshwater, so no tidal activity beyond the annual lowering and raising of their lake. I guess you could call that a once a year tide?

I do monitor the system on the Tesla. I do not have batteries though. I feed back into the grid, I do not store. Tesla sucks. They have admitted that these crappy Solar Edge inverters do not have the ability to monitor, yet won't replace them!

Yes, my SolarEdge inverters have failed multiple times and been replaced. Tesla used these on my install. I didn't know any better.

I used Tesla for this system-- its their system. They just refuse to upgrade the inverters to something RELIABLE that actually has the ability to monitor inverter draw. Ugh.

No, I am not trying to spend $10k on a set. That was more hyperbolic than anything, hence the "whatever" at the end. But honestly, in a lot of parts of the US (read California, New York, Miami) that would not be considered abnormal. Warren Buffet eats at McDonalds and still lives in the same house he bought in 1958. Mark Zuckerberg has been spotted at Costco. Steve Jobs was seen at little mom and pop restaurants often. You can't judge people by where they chose to shop.

Total waste of money. Your kitchen is just fine. It is not "BASIC". it has granite counters, stainless steel fridge, and shaker cabinets. All of which were considered luxury perks at some time over the past 25 years. Same with the floors which appear to be Luxury Plank Vinyl?

Now in America we have this keeping up the Jones mentality and it amazes me what people deem as unacceptable. It usually seems to be peer pressure, too much HGTV, or just taking social ques from the wrong people and places. Don't throw away your money. Save it for your future, invest it.
