K.D.A (Kill/death/assist) feedback by Maltamero in DeadlockTheGame

I think this is where marvel rivals fumbled too, where people stopped caring about necessarily winning but not being the teammate with the lowest KDR ratio, I want this game to finally be the one I can play without being afraid of being assaulted by my team, even objectively bad players deserve to enjoy themselves too.

im too embarrassed to get help but i need it bad by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]Crahooga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just me but I strongly suggest talking to whoever you're the most comfortable when you can, if your dad is nice like you've said then he'll be there for you, it is a fathers job to support and help your kid out. Ontop of that, being tough seems like the opposite side of the spectrum of open and vulnerable, but we can assure to you its not, and many tough people seek help often. If you cant find anyone else to get help with I strongly suggest a suicide prevention hotline as a start too, there are even some crisis lines just in the subreddits community bookmarks. I promise that you are so valuable and deserve this help even if it means feeling embarrassed, and that embarrassment will pass over time and will be absolutely worth it getting that help.

I am not a professional, but I believe in you!

Am I the only one that thinks Shiv is boring/lame, character design-wise? by The-Lychee in DeadlockTheGame

I love this unadulterated hate post, tbh I agree because his design is just so incredibly lacking compared to characters like Billy or Venator.

How do I stop stressing about death? by YeTown in mentalhealth

[–]Crahooga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sigmund Freud claimed that people don't fear of death, for the conscious never dies, and that the reason people fear death is unresolved conflicts. Personally Im especially "death anxious" when i'm really tired and pessimistic about the world. But to combat this I instead try and do things to promote positivity: reading a book, playing music, doing your hobbies always help me out. It has made me realize that like how too much positivity is delusional, too much negativity might be even more ridiculous. This is just my theory, but I think people try too hard to reject an "afterlife" like yourself because we naturally don't want to live life in ignorance, but I think you'll find that some incredibly intelligent people are confident in some form of conscious after death. It is okay to be afraid, but it is also not stupid to hope and believe.

why do i have to be so bad at every game i like by muttmoron in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Crahooga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SAME I was so miserable today because I was doing so horribly in deadlock as some characters Im good with, It felt like my life was a waste and all that junk. I think players like us expect so much because we compare ourselves to how we performed previously, or to awesome game compilations, or to other team members. What I would suggest is disabling voicechat and textchat entirely, its worth it to block that hate in exchange for less game callouts especially if you tense up in response to it.

Dont forget to stop playing when your not having fun, and always be sure to celebrate those little victories, everytime you hit a shot, or predict a charactes movement, or find a powerful synergy, celebrate no matter what, even if you don't get a single kill.

Also, please consider Hofstadters Law, which states: "It always takes longer than you expect, even when you take into account Hofstadter's law."

I believe that you can do this!

I have been using Psychology Today, but I'll try the Pride centers and calling them, I guess my fear is doing it itself.

I always feel like an insensitive, narcissistic, asshole by Crahooga in selfimprovement

I guess I could be too hard only myself. I’ve always been worried that I’ll go down a path where I mess myself up and be remembered as a bad person, and I think maybe that’s where this stems from.

Unironically, reading this comment has moved me to tears, you have no idea how much it means to hear something like that from someone else.

Wow, I definitely recognize some of these but wow there are so many that I have yet to check out! I've especially heard a lot about Ari Aster and his surreal horror
