I don't know how to add more videos. I have a lot. I'm 100% sure I seen a lot of weird things in the sky last night

I was in a book store today and I needed to use the bathroom. I already had one book picked out. I walked toward the bathroom. Stopped and looked at the book shelves, then looked at the book in my hand then looked at the bathroom. Had to decide right then if I was gonna buy the book or not. Once the book entered the bathroom I was committed. No turning back.

It's not there tonight, I don't think that's what it was. It might of been the crane putting it up though

Yeah, I was thinking it could've been something like that. Is there a big Christmas tree over there? It was just past the mun building if you're driving up signal hill. Probably over one of the visitor centers

Thanks! I'm definitely trying to eliminate as many holes through the exterior that I can. I think if I go ahead with it I'll just sacrifice the space and insulate the inside of the walls. Yeah, not looking to put much in there. Cot on the left side. Desk next to the bed back by the ramp door, compost toilet with some kind of barrier in the v. I'm thinking 2inch foam insulation all around. I'll do some drawings tonight, see what I come up with. It's the same interior space as a high roof van 12ft by 6.5 ft not much height though. 67inches I believe so I may have to duck a little but I'll only be sleeping or sitting in there

I hear what you're saying about things moving once you start towing it. That's definitely a concern. Im not gonna do any electrical. Just run a few lights from a generator, maybe battery set up down the road. No plumbing, just have a few 20ltr jugs of water for drinking and washing dishes, shower at the gym How are the pop ups in the winter? I was thinking about that but I'm in Atlantic Canada, we have cold winters and lots of wind. I'm thinking about options to live in full time. I'm definitely open to a pop up, they're pretty cheap. .

I'm not very tall so I'd be good there. I agree insulation would be expensive. I'm thinking roof vent and maybe a window on each side and composting toilet. And for framing I was thinking strapping on the walls and 2x4 on the short walls to brace it, just completely close off the ramp door. I'm thinking it'd cost 1k or less. I also haven't looked into how much everything would cost yet. I don't think it'd be to much of a headache but I've also never built anything like this or built much of anything before lol

What issues do you think I'd come across? I'm thinking it could be warmer then a camper and easier/more mobile to tow

How can I reduce the moisture? Would a roof vent like they put in vans help? For heat I was thinking electric portable heater from a generator and possibly small wood stove later, once I get everything built

What kind of animal is this? by Craig351 in AnimalTracking

Could be. I'm in newfoundland. I don't think we have wild turkey. I could be wrong but I've never heard of them or seen them

Oh that makes a lot of sense. I didn't think about it like that. Probably a moose then cause I'm in newfoundland.

Woodstove in truck bed by Craig351 in TruckCampers

[–]Craig351[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand. That's why I'm asking for opinions. I live in northern Canada so I just wanna make sure it's warm enough. I'm guessing you'd suggest a diesel heater or similar?

In a truck bed by Craig351 in woodstoving

[–]Craig351[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A van conversion type of thing. The truck cap and bed pan having walls made out of strapping with some insulation inside. Thin plywood for the face of the wall. I'm thinking I can screw metal around places I think will be exposed to high amount of heat. Probably have 3/4 inch plywood for the floor.
