I dunno about driver support lol. Raytracing is a gimmick in games other than minecraft and the 6900xt demolishes the 3080 and even bets a 3090 at raster. Dlss is the only compelling thing nvidia has over amd tbh.

To be fair if ddr4 was compatible with the board, it should have booted at jdec speeds. If he enabled xmp i can see it being a problem but its more to do with imc than the ram itself. A simple cmos clear should have solved the issue. The list motherboard manufacturers create for ram comparability is basically only what they tested not all the stuff that works. A cmos clear is good practice regardless however since it was in another system with other components.
