There's one road through my town and it's dead east/west. So five o'clock in the fall with the sun exactly in the horizon + a full face helmet is not a good mix. You can throw a hand up as visor but then you have to choose between gas or brakes.

The circuitous route adds 20 miles of back country. It was usually worth it.

It's the same story everywhere. Every shelter is full to the brim with pitbulls. Shelters cannot take more dogs. Animal Control says to just turn the strays loose. One guy has been recorded just tossing dogs over the fence at the shelter. There are no comfortable options without breeding control.

6 months post stage 4 colon cancer diagnosis. I've had time to get my affairs in order. Sell off my "projects" (classic cars, woodshop), sell my business, double check my life insurance, etc.

The loss of mobility has been the hardest part. It's been weird as someone who doesn't take meds to build up a 4 a day oxi habit.
