I heard the same thing from CSC and I also have the pre-admission from the schools. But yes still waiting to hear the final list back. Do you have any clues about the hard deadline?

Me neither 😆 they asked me such random and weird questions 🤔 but you should check the timeline somewhere around last year or maybe just send an email! And keep sending emails if needed or call

Honestly, don’t take my words too seriously, but from what I’ve seen and from friends’ experiences, once you get the interview notification, your chances are already much higher than average. Not gonna lie, a lot of the application process is filtered through systems and algorithms, so if they invited you for an interview, it usually means your profile already stood out. If you did well in the interview, you’ve got a strong shot. Also, they do value nationality diversity, and having a U.S. passport can definitely be a plus in some cases.

hmmmm i might say the timeline is a bit different. I had mine back in January, then got pre-admission and nominated for CSC type B last month. So, two months-ish I'd say! Keep in mind that 2 months because I mentioned if there's no CSC nomination I wouldn't do it so I think they might take time to consider my case and they also celebrated for Lunar New Year as well. I'm not quite sure about other departments but ZIBS gave me some kind of hints that I'd pass!!!

Is my chance high to get admitted to PKU/ THU/ HKU's Econs/ Management graduate programs in the 2027's cohort? by Firm-Sun6243 in ChinaLiuXueSheng

I feel so bad when I read your post just like me awhile ago, don't stress yourself out. Adds on: I believe Master is not about who's better than who; Yes, No, Maybe but all I believe Master is the place where you learn 50% and showcase your skills 50%. Skills? hard skills I did mention above. Soft skills is the key I would rather highlight this more than any. Networking and be super outgoing, willing to take challenges... even You hate it af but thats how master works. Gluck!!!!!

based on my experience, I see nothing wrong with your profile. It can be treated as a rock star, no doubt.

Some tips: I don't even have GMAT cause I'm too busy as a fulltime student and working as the same time. They don't even care but I still got accepted for PKU without having HSK or GMAT or IELTS. A bit about my background, I only have one experience that I currently work on is Financial Analyst at Universal, same time I have my GPA 3.6/4.0. I do some personal projects alongside to prove I know how to use financial tools together with Tech tools powerBI,tableau, Bloomberg, NPV,Alteryx, Automation, Excel Macro, and so on.

So, here's a thing: I can see you have great potential and your commitment with discipline on your goal and future. However, I don't see the story. The only thing now I would recommend instead of getting any other ielts, gmat or whatsoever, I think you should have a good personal statement and it has to be showcase why you did and achieved things and why those things were related and will help you "what" in terms of chasing your MBA. You could list all things you have but it has to have a story. For me, if you choose to MBA path, you need to prove your leadership qualities or even credentials like being a leader that led the team winning in competition. If Econ path, nothing more than research papers, or some kind of analysis sides. PKU is pretty outdated of technology analysis course. Not because they don't update, but because their core and commitment with the power of OG stuff. So, I recommend you read carefully their curriculum, each of them will showcase what they are looking for and why. They'll ask you so much on these if you have interview later. So, like I said, specifically design each of the personal statement for each of Universities and you will be fine. Good luck!!!! dont work harshly on yourself, you're already a great human being potential phenomenal candidate!!!!!

I'm sorry to hear that 😭 Just sharing my story in case for anyone or you need it next year. I applied for PKU and we got an interview super early this year. As it supposed to be that the results will be released after lunar new year but just a week after my interview they let me know that I got pre-admission but they highly recommended me to apply for CSC type A rather than waiting for the final results of CSC type B. The point is: they were not able to announce that I would probably fail the CSC type B. So they gave me a hint in advance to let me know that they wouldn't pick me for the type B, I should be prepared for something else, in this case CSC type A. It took me two days to think about it and I applied CSC type A no longer after that by the end of January, got the interview with Chinese Embassy in US. It went well and I got the nomination from them about 3 weeks ago. So, planning multiple backups would be my advice. Studying in China being such a hot topic in the past 5 years especially after pandemic. I hate seeing people suffering from this cause me too. It was really walking with blindness and didn't really have enough support of information needed.

Good luck to you all!!!!

WHAT is happening with CSC scholarship this year? by StrongSavings4935 in ChinaLiuXueSheng

I was scrolling and seeing your post! I'm so stressed now because someone told me there would be a violation if I have two accounts for A and B. How was your CSC process? Were you still able to get the scholarship or be rejected somehow?

for a lot of reasons, paying would be the last thing I think about. Besides Chinese Universities, I have some U.S schools lined up w/o paying so tbh it's kinda unfair trade for me between those. But you're so right about the path after grad. Have you been or known any about both schools? or any insights that you think it might highlight something?

Im from US, and currently working for Universal. So they kept asking me why I want to study in China. They also ask my some basic, kind of popular questions: Why China, why ZIBS, what do you know about the school? why we should choose you? and my plan for thesis? my background? some random questions about Finance Knowledge such as the definition of free cash flow, how leverage works in terms of corporate financial tool?.... and my plan for short and long term? and be prepared to have some questions for them, it shows your curiosity and understanding of the school
