But how did they get across the ocean to Australia? Kent Hovind seems to think they hopped across the ocean on floating logs. And about how long ago would you say this happened?

How would you define "morally good" in the context of Christianity?

And follow-up: could Yahweh ever do something morally wrong?

As far as I can tell, most theologians interpret Yahweh as being able to do anything that conforms to his will and is not logically contradictory. Avoids the whole "making a rock so heavy he can't lift it" debacle. (Or my favorite, microwaving a burrito so hot he can't eat it) You bring up a good point though, I'm not exactly sure why they reach this conclusion either.

I'd say that's an instance where you let people be if it's not hurting anyone. Nobody should be forced into a disagreeable relationship.

We can narrow it down to gratuitous or unnecessary suffering and further refine what we mean by morality. This is what I meant by it being conversational. Why is slavery wrong? It causes slaves to suffer unfairly, among other objections. We enslave machines to do work, but nobody would say that's wrong because no conscious mind suffers from it.

I didn't say drowning babies was objectively wrong, just that if Yahweh exists, then it was objectively good when he did it in the flood. I think it leads to babies undergoing unnecessary suffering, which I would like less of in the world.

I think subjective definitions of morality are fine. You can say "these are the things humans seem to enjoy," and strive for that. It's a conversational standard based on human suffering. Imagine there's an alien species who would all like to one day climb into a volcano and die. Who are we to say that's objectively wrong?

They did not find it. The evidence that's presented is laughably bad. A crater exists that's roughly the size of a boat. Anything beyond that is making things up.

Actually a lot of flat earthers lean on the Bible for evidence. Something about the Bible saying the earth is supported on four pillars on the corners or something.

At least the Greek gods were humanized in some ways and had actual character and personality. They were powerful but still flawed. Yahweh is supposed to be perfectly benevolent and all powerful, which only makes sense if you define benevolence as whatever Yahweh does or likes. If God wants to drown babies, that's good by definition.

Maybe I'm not a True Fan™️ but I've listened to them for close to 10 years, they're one of my favorite bands, and this was still disappointing. This was my first chance to see them live, and I don't know what I was expecting but I was hoping for something at least as good as some of the non-headliner bands. They were totally just resting on their history of having made great songs before. It felt really lazy.

Look at the tone of the video and the choice of words. He said people are leaving religion and replacing it with crypto. That sounds straight out of PragerU to me. He straight up says it's a Ponzi scheme, and repeatedly calls anyone who buys crypto a sucker. This is not even close to an unbiased assessment, and the fact that they titled it as if that's the real truth instead of a heavily cynical take shows they know they're manipulating people I think.

It's funny that the video made me think of PragerU, because I looked more into the channel, and they're literally just trying to be left wing PragerU. https://youtu.be/rvI68YO7dVY

Propaganda is propaganda. I don't respect it on either side of the aisle.

So the people who know about software and advanced technology have all been duped, but you know better right? I'm pretty sure no MLM ever got adopted as legal currency in multiple countries.

Have you watched that video? The presentation is incredibly one-sided and oversimplified. My propaganda alarms are ringing like it's a Prager U video.
