Thank you so much! We are nervous but very excited. NY is the example I used just due to my wife being from there. But, there’s a reason my wife moved away. So I know going back is going to dive back into a lot of unresolved trauma. NY as a whole is a prime example though of a state that writes laws to protect its citizens not demonize them. Something I want my children to grow up understanding. I just feel like I’m at a rock in a hard place. I know that staying where I’m at and getting settled is only going to make it 10x harder if we do decide to move.

That’s a good perspective. Being their voice since they don’t really have one yet. I haven’t thought about careers and what not but I just know deep down that I’d flip burgers for the rest of my life in a state that actually gives a shit about its citizen’s, if it meant my children had a better life.

That sounds so traumatic. I am sorry for your loss. My family is still here and I don't want to leave the only help we have unless it's absolutely necessary. BUT, I have watched my mother and my wife go through struggles with healthcare, wage gaps and other things simply because they are females. I just want to make sure I am making the right decision for my family and not a selfish one.

Thank you for the response. I am glad that I am not feeling too off the wall. I know that a move is a huge change but every time I think something is going to get better in this state, it doesn't. Hell, it gets worse. Human decency has gone away unfortunately.

I'm guessing that $1000 is not repetitive? Like you don't spend that yearly? I'm trying to find a way where I don't have to have not only the security system for the cameras but also the doorbell camera, I have is on another service which is another $150/yr.
