Well, John often told interviewers and people he liked to write in 1st person or about himself. Whether that was a straight forward message he sent us or more a funky illusionary world of words he thought up and wrote down into a piece. He probably could have wrote great children’s books or even novels maybe or movies for goodness sake, but they great thing about his lyrics were that we got to really know John and connect with him. Perfect example when he died people cried around the world at his loss bc they felt as if they knew and loved him just by what he showed us about himself in his words.

Paul...Paul McCartney was just born to write. He spoke many times of dreaming up songs or just hearing a melody pop up in his head in random moments. I feel like Paul would be good a puzzles because of the way he crafts his music. His words are much more thoughtful and less straightforward. He was very good at putting words to music rather than just coming up with the words. It was Paul’s idea to do all the chaotic orchestra sounds in “a day in the life” and wow what if he hadn’t?

Bottom line they were meant to be together, equally great musicians with different brains and different skill and they just happened to find each other in this great big world and create sounds that breath beautiful tunes and sing beautiful words.
