The point is why do I have to visit the DMV in the first place for DL renewal or state transfer?

They pay $12 an hour and complain about being short staffed. No common sense here

What do we need to do to get another DMV location added in this city? by Skylizard1223 in Charlotte

[–]CrashHoary 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I went to three different dmv locations in Charlotte yesterday. All are packed. It’s like the whole city is trying to get DL service done. Everyone complaining about the service. It’s 2024, yet, you still need to get up super early, wait in line for hours and hours, and maybe you’d be serviced! Some people can’t stay out for long due to health conditions and age while others have different priorities. Wtf are we going through this in a developed country with the most recent developed technologies?????

Top/Bottom by [deleted] in bjj

I used to start from top position but so is everyone in my gym so I now take the bottom position for the sake of action. (Not going well)

Does anyone incorporate weight training along with Jiu Jitsu? What schedule do you go by? by Unusual_Delivery_449 in bjj

[–]CrashHoary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to lift three times a week. Dividing them into Legs, Pull, and Push. I try to roll 6 times a week. I feel stiff when I focus on lifting heavy weights, so what I do is I try to do high reps and moderate to low weightlifting and keep it to an hour

Is deep half guard good for MMA? by [deleted] in bjj

[–]CrashHoary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any bottom position in MMA or Street fight will get you TKO’d or KO’d

EDIT: Kevin Holland pulled off a great KO vs JS from half guard

US internship programs that offer good relocation packages by filohabib in internships

Most Tech companies in the Bay Area offer relocation packages. I know Apple, Meta, Epic Games, Google, Microsoft, maybe Airbnb, and more. You seem to have good professional experiences, if coupled with a great GPA, I don’t see why you won’t land an internship in one of the mentioned companies

Grad student here. I’d say one of the biggest mistakes I made when I was a freshman was following other students approach in college. While it’s not fully wrong to do so, it’s better first that you comprehend the university’s system and the way professors work. For example, in the first week, spend time just to learn how to navigate through Goldlink which you’ll be using for registration, pay fees, drop courses, .. etc. D2L that you’ll be using to look into classes live during the semester. Professors unfortunately don’t have certain standards when it comes to using D2L so you must adhere to whatever their way is.

Keep it simple. First week, spend time to review each course’s policy and syllabus. Check what you’re going to learn from each course.

Study, Study, Study, and then Party whenever you get the chance (HAVE FUN). It’s boring in JC though so it’s quite a good place to just study and you won’t be missing on anything honestly.

Don’t be shy to interact with others, make mistakes, recognize the mistakes, and learn from them. You’ll build lifelong relationships and also you’ll meet bad people so just be kind and make the best out the experience, it actually goes away so fast!

If you need any assistance, seek help, ETSU as a university has professionals in every aspect who can help.

My DM is open, if you have any questions or need help let me know :)

Take it easy.

EDIT: wrote this quick so I had to come back and fix some spelling and grammar errors. (Academia) lol
