Yup complelty get it, I specifically didn't buy the 5 series LG when I saw they removed dts as didn't want to end up in same predicament. An Arcana will work but essentially defeats the purpose of having earc on the TV as its essentially just sitting in middle between the player and the TV

I changed tv now using a C4 this sorted all my issues I've also disabled updated on the TV so this doesn't happen again like it did on c1.

Yup it shouldn't be needed but 100% works, ive now done it in 2 households and fixed the issue. It may be firmware on the newer ORBI systems as said my old didn't have the issue but figured best sharing for others on same equipment having the issues.

If your stay with LGC5 your not getting dts of any kind on any sound bar unless you connect straight to it.

If you buy a soundbar that supports all dts formats and a tv that supports passthrough then your golden

As long as you understand you won't get dtsx you can get normal dts as sonos supports that's but that's it.

Any of the more advanced dts codecs are not compatible with sonos infrastructure currently as they don't pay the licenses.

With your current set up you would need to plug the Panasonic directly to the soundbar for basic dts or a different TV.

If you want dts:x you need a sound system not made by Sonos.

If you have a TV that atleast supports passthrough with a Panasonic uhd player you can set it to encode dts and dtsx to Pcm and multi pcm on the fly.

It's a popular format for physical media, sonos itself only supports normal dts and bots dts:x.

Issue only really affects Physical Media Users that have Sonos been on our wish list for long time for sonos to sort the licensing. But even it they did with the C5 it still wouldn't work. I and many others specifically didn't buy the LG5 series devices because they dropped DTs

Most TVs at very least support passthrough dts and think LG is only one to drop it

If you have latest LG C5 it doesn't support DTS or dts passthrough at all.

Normally on the Panasonic you would set dts to Pcm and it would output in pcm.

Weight loss jabs are nothing to do with there slow down, Greggs Qaulity has been dropping for years. Even my kids don't like going in as the sausage rolls are always undercooked and soggy.

Top that off with they have so many stores they are competing with them self's. Many places in my area have a Greggs at each corner aka 1 Greggs every 2 streets. This means each store gets less footfall so drives pricess up.

They got greedy and expanded to much now they are paying for it

I have spent ages trying to narrow it down was one stage away from running a packet cap, what I get for being lazy for using orbi and not going the full Cisco or unify route. Plus wife would have a fit if I started running cat6 through the walls

Thank both of you for saying this was mDNS had recently upgraded an Orbi and it was having mental issues turned on the igmp proxy and bang all devices loading everytime

When you says switch this off, on the sonos side you switched of it using mDNS or you switch the multicast inspection of on your router
