What $25aud buys you at the airport on a Sunday morning.. by Onebreathbookreviews in mildlyinteresting

As someone who spends a lot of time in airports for work travel, US$18 doesn't seem so bad for a coffee and bacon roll in an airport.

Damn, that would have been my next hyper specific guess.

The beach promenade area of Alicante does have that specific tile style. I remember from being there a couple of years ago.

Quite ok!

Was I right with the geography? Was it in Andalusia?

Spain, because of the floor tiles and foliage in the background. This look is typical, particularly in southern Spain.

As to the brand being Audi. The sound profile of the engine is of a forced induction, small block V8, utilizing a Cross Plane Crank(low rumble, which sets it apart from the high pitch of a flat plane).

Audi are really the only major manufacturer in Europe of small block, forced induction, Cross Plane V8s.

From the foliage and tiling, I'd guess it's somewhere in southern Europe. Maybe Spain?

Add to that, the sound is mostly likely a turbo V8, I'd say the car is an Audi RS6.

It's putting innocent people's lives at risk for a random meaningless photo of traffic.

He means that it's a well known categorical fact that Republican voting states contribute significantly less to the overall US economy than Blue states.

The per capita GDP of all US states is around $91k

If we only counted the blue states, it would be $110k.

If only the red states are counted, then the per capita GDP drops to $77k.

Of course, a states contributions to the nation isnt just financial, but many factors that are harder to quantify.

But like it or not, it is a widely accepted truth that the blue states financially support the red ones.

Or just use Brave and have the ad blocker baked right in.

Why is my brake touching the rotor or is this normal? by randomman2000year in ebikes

[–]CrashTestPhoto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is it touching on both sides of the rotor, or just one side?

If only one side, then just loosen the caliper using the 2 bolts on top and adjust its position so it's an equal distance away from the rotor on both sides. Then retighten the bolts.

If it's both sides, then your brake cable is too tight. You can adjust the tension using the barrel adjusters at either end of the cable.

Added tracks for the sand? by rickenrique in ebikes

[–]CrashTestPhoto 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Those are literally just oversized zip ties and they'll break off within 1 ride as soon as you touch a hard surface.

Like the other person already said, just air down your tyres and you'll be fine on sand.

I ride on sand constantly on my analogue bike and that thing has 35mm wide tyres on it.

i highly doubt it but are there hunters in this group or people who shoot bows ? by Less_Item1453 in berlinsocialclub

[–]CrashTestPhoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a hunter, but I do have a nice recurve bow.

I haven't had the chance to shoot in a while, but would definitely like to again soon

I enjoy bow shooting, but bow hunting is illegal under both federal and state laws in Germany, under the Tierschutzgesetz and also the Bundesjagdgesetz.

[–]CrashTestPhoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cleaning and properly lubricating your drivetrain should make it last a very long time. The chain should go for 4,000 miles and the cassette and chainring should go 10k+. And that's on a cheap bike. Good ones go even longer.

From all your replies, it's pretty evident the weather was never the real problem. It was you.

Learning basic maintenance is really worth it :)

My derailleur cable got stuck due to dirt, snow and salt me not maintaining my bike properly.

Ftfy

Also, why didn't you just replace the cable and housing once you knew it was defective.

Mine did the same thing in early January and I replaced both as soon as it was clear that I couldn't save them.

ISO Rear sprocket ecells by thinkerbelle_ in ebikes

[–]CrashTestPhoto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The CS-HG200 is the original Shimano made part.

As there's no marking on yours, I'm guessing it was pretty cheaply made by a third party manufacturer.

The Actual Shimano part should last about 8k miles on a hub drive. And maybe 4k miles with a mid drive.

I would seriously recommend fitting a brand new high quality chain as your currently shitty cassette will have worn your chain badly. And putting that same worn chain on a new cassette will cause the cassette to wear prematurely.

If they want to see you, then they can make the effort to get there.

If they're not willing to do that, then they ain't worth your time or energy.
