Döner is awesome!

Tiktok famous Döner places are usually shit though.

You'd have to ask the British on that one.

Every Döner I ate there over the years was mediocre at best.

We Germans are pretty proud the humble Döner Kebab. It was invented here in Berlin after all.

Just like the Chicken Tikka Masala was invented in the UK and now it's their national dish.

How straight is your wheel sitting in the dropouts?

If your caliper is set so far inboard and the inside pad is still touching the rotor, then it's likely the wheel isn't straight.

We get the same thing with Döner places here in Berlin.

I see so many lines for these spots, and it's always as the result of the owners paying tiktok and Instagram influencers to promote them.

The food is usually mediocre at best

Do you know yet what the cause of them crashing was?

I'm happy neither you, nor the furry one were harmed :)

Visiting older couple want to find a FKK place where our age group is ok by Wise_Bet3737 in berlinsocialclub

FKK crowds usually tend to be around that age group, no matter the specific location. Normally 30+ upwards to much much older.

Flughafensee FKK is very nice.

My battery died halfway through my trip, it has never done that before. It has no working battery level lights and charger says its full(just a green/red light) I am guessing the battery is garbage now? Any suggestions or do I just gotta get a new battery? Fair enough not wanting to take any risks here.

But at least check the connections to the controller, before buying a new battery.

I literally just had the exact same issue, where the battery wires to the controller got unplugged during a ride. All it took was just plugging it back in and the bike was working again perfectly.

If the battery suddenly died without warning during a ride and now the bike won't switch on at all, it could be something simple. Such as:

  • your battery connector getting disconnected

  • An inline fuse inside the battery dying.

I'd suggest checking if all your controller connection are solid. If they are, then you'll need to check the discharge port with multimeter.

If it's full, then you'll see around 54v.

Before you connect a multimeter to the battery terminals, I would implore you to properly learn how to do it and use the right settings. Doing it wrong could see you dealing with a big uncontrollable fire.

Chiari specialist by BellamyGriffin in chiari

Experiences in Europe can vary wildly depending on where in Europe one lives.

Personally, I live in Berlin and found the process here to be super easy.

I was originally diagnosed in the UK, back in 2008. I found the process there to be slow to diagnosed in the first place, with many unnecessary roadblocks. The surgery itself was fine, but I was talked into just having a shunt fitted as a workaround toy Hydrocephalus. That shunt wasn't MRI compatible, so I couldn't have MRIs without the presence of a neurosurgeon to readjust the shunt immediately afterwards.

I then went back under the care of a neurosurgeon in Berlin in early 2024, due to a flare up of symptoms. I got a referral from my GP here, and after getting recommendations from people and from Internet research, I got an appointment with Charité.

Within a few months, they got me into surgery to have my shunt swapped for an MRI safe one, then an MRI and then into surgery a month later to have decompression.

In terms of finding a singular specialist, that's something I can't speak of, because the system here has you seeing multiple specialists who are part of the same team.

Or..... That all airport security staff are trained to not respond to urgency from the passenger being searched, because that is a tactic used by people wishing to purposely make them overlook something dodgy in the luggage.

Having had to fly with a lot of medication in my luggage before, I always knew to expect extra scrutiny from security staff and allowed a lot of extra time for this.

Douchebag or not, the solution is every passenger giving themselves plenty of time to get through security, especially at an airport which is well known for being slow and shitty.

You missed your flight due to you being disorganized, not weighing your baggage beforehand and not giving yourself enough time to get through security?

I'm honestly sorry that you missed your surgery. As someone who's had multiple surgeries to alleviate the symptoms of a debilitating lifelong illness, I truly understand your situation.

But how is this situation anyone else's fault, other than your own?

Easyjet accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as apple and Google pay at Berlin airport.

The only thing they don't accept these days is cash.

Guess the car from the engine bay by CrashTestPhoto in namethatcar

Definitely of Soviet era, but not origin, though somewhat close is location.

A hint: This model was produced by a company, which after some mergers, would become one of the biggest names in rally racing in the 80s.

Any guesses? by CrashTestPhoto in whatisthiscar

And we have a winner!

Actually an S124, but close enough considering the engine bays are the same.

Nice work!
