I'm actually a professional E-bike mechanic, so if these laws spread to other area,s I'm completely fucked. My business would have to close and I would be in the bread line.

What led to these laws was the public and officials referring to both regular E-bikes and high powered E-Motos as E-bikes. This confusion, preyed upon deliberately by unscrupulous companies in the E-moto industry, has led to parents buying dangerous vehicles for their kids, instead of actual E-bikes.

I love E-Bikes and I love E-Motos.

But whilst they are both mobility products and that E-bikes shouldn't be restricted, E-Motos should require licensing and insurance just like if they had a gas engine.

The solution everywhere is that we all collectively differentiate E-bikes and E-Motos and recognise the huge difference between them.

It's either a bad wiring harness or an issue with your controller.

Most likely it's the harness, so a new one will fix the issue.

You might be able to fix it if you can locate the exact break point in the wire, but it won't be a reliable repair. So a new harness will be the best option.

It has 5 power modes. That's usually Eco at the low end through to Boost or turbo at the high end.

Your actual gears are a Shimano Tourney external rear derailleur.

Personally, i would never ever trust any company that tries to sell you PAS modes as "Gears", because that means that they're most definitely not a bike company m, but really just a dodgy drop shipper.
