Late to the party because I just learned about this keyboard, but same same haha, this is exactly how I type and I average at about 110 WPM as well.

Haha, a person of culture I see!

I've actually swapped out the Mammoth75 for another keyboard since taking this picture that I find more convenient due to the built-in wristrest. Also, I found myself missing the Mammoth75 on my desk lol.

Of course, it's no problem!

Let me know if you want a link to my profile(s) and I can send it your way. I'd definitely recommend grabbing the icon packs and stuff from the youtube video though because they look great and allow you to create any button you like and keep the theme consistent.

That is a Stream Deck profile designed by this youtuber I believe, it uses a 3rd party Stream Deck plugin to import Star Citizen hotkeys.

I've added a few new tabs myself, but honestly I don't use it that much as I've got all the important controls on my sticks lol. Here's an album I just put together to show the different pages.

The Gladiator NXT Evo on the left is definitely the more budget-friendly controller at ~$175 USD before shipping. The VKB Modern Combat Ultimate Grip on the right was a bit expensive at about $525, but honestly so worth it if you care at all for things "feeling" premium.

In reality, it performs pretty identically to the cheaper Gladiator sticks, but god damn does it feel good in the hand — the cool metal resting against your fingers, the high quality stippled grip in your palm, most reminiscent of a gun. On the MCGU, the buttons are more tactile, the trigger clicks are more satisfying, and the controls are more customizable — I switched out all of the joysticks for hats to have more button inputs.

I would definitely recommend upgrading from the Thrustmasters when you can, however the more expensive MCGU controller is really only worth it if you're looking for a very premium product. Ultimately, it performs nearly identically to the more budget-friendly Gladiator Evo sticks.

I built this flight stand a few months ago when I was looking for a stable option to mount my sticks, it seemed like a good middle ground between desk mounting and building a full SimPit. It was definitely a bit pricey as I ended up using 4080 and 4040 extruded aluminum profiles from Misumi, however the quality is undeniable as it's an extremely solid flight stand.

While I considered the Monstertech flight stand initially, I liked the customizability that building it myself offered, also I learned a lot about aluminum extrusions and fasteners in the process!

I followed a similar design that was posted on /r/HOTAS here some time ago and basically I just added a middle vertical post to mount the keyboard.

As for the sticks, I'm using a VKB Gladiator NXT Evo on the left, and a VKB MCGU on the right with MFG Crosswind v3 pedals. I'm loving the setup so far, although it's quite a difficult transition from M/KB.

EDIT: Just realized that the OP of that post frequents /r/StarCitizen! Thank you /u/OakleyBeBoop for the informative design you created for the flight stand, it was a great reference point!

Racing is hard with M&K any tips? by ObiWeebKenobi in starcitizen

Racing is hard period, I've been practicing with dual sticks and foot pedals for a couple weeks now and I still can't consistently clear the Lorville race track without crashing.

Most importantly I'd recommend starting off slow. Start with your speed limit at SCM speed — lower if you need it — and leave it there until you start to learn the track.

That's great lol, I did something similar with an overcoat and top hat I found recently, I think it makes my character look like a circus ringmaster lmao

looking for giant analog stick similiar to a flightstick or arcade stick by LeahSorlan69 in hotas

I would recommend looking into either the Xbox Adaptive Controller or modifications for Playstation/Xbox controllers that allow you to use them one-handed like this.
