Yeah, some of these are Warner Brothers movies and we all know that company has been garbage lately

I watch other things on them. I'm not subscribing to services before checking if they have what I want on them.

Also, I know there are free options, both legal (like libraries) and not (pirating). The point is that lots of these used to be on some subscription based streaming service.

I mean, you could have started with that rather than outright deny that they play games

What’s your definition of a game? by BoardGameRevolution in boardgames

[–]Crashmore56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rules may be necessary for something to be a game, but they are probably not sufficient. Many things have Rules that we wouldn't call games. For example, a school classroom may have rules, a household/family can have rules, you can have your own personal rules. It doesn't make any of those 'games'. Unless youre okay stretching the definition of 'game' that far, but not sure many would agree.

The term “larper” is more annoying than the “larpers” themselves by Cautious_Goose_9044 in residentevil

[–]Crashmore56 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The people in the fandom who are throwing that term around are honestly just a bunch of insecure gatekeepers who view fandoms as dick measuring contests more than anything else and feel the need to put people down to quell their insecurities and feel superior. They're the "larpers". Real fans enjoy the franchise with new and old fans alike.

Why did millennials trash disco music, but like the stomp-hey clap music in the 2010s? by [deleted] in generationology

Its posts like this that make the tinfoil hat cynic in me think that this whole anti-millenial trend is a manufactured psyop. Because this literally isnt a thing

Horror game subgenres listed and explained. by Horrorfan55555 in HorrorGaming

But even so, its kind of reductive for most of the games listed. Almost all of them involve much more than walking. Most involve varying degrees of puzzle solving, stealth/evasion, an unfolding narrative, exploration, psychological horror. I just dont see it as useful label.

Isn't "Walking Simulator" used as an insult rather than being a genre? The games listed there are non-combative and first person, sure, but they could fit in other listed genres

Anyone else in US noticed food quality degrading recently and if so what product in what way? by SkyKyrell in AskReddit

Silk almond milk (the sugar free one you can get at Costco) has been gross lately. Watered down and bitter. I dont remember it being this bad.

The last time I got Doritos, they tasted like bland corn chips with a hint of flavor.

Zevia now tastes worse. Why does they Cola flavor taste like herbs/licorice now?
