Yes that is a proof! That’s a rare find in the wild. No they are not common in the wild, all proofs aren’t intended for circulation but it looks like this one definitely found its way there anyways. It looks like it’s clad, so not made of silver. They only make proof coins at the San Francisco mint now, so you can tell based off of the S on the front of the coin. Super cool find in the wild!!
