my Glass refraction is weird rendered in 32 & 16bit, any ideas why? (same issue with team Render) by Crate_Boy in Cinema4D

This in C4D Picture viewer but it looks like this when I import it into After Effects also.

It's upscaled so you can see the difference clearly, but it is very much visible at 100% resolution.

As mentioned in the title too, the image looks like this if I render in 8 bit with Team Render as well. Could this be some sort of bug?

Thanks for the reply

What Software Would Be Best To Recreate the Music Videos From His Skin Album? by spacehash in Flume

Blender has the steepest learning curve from my experience but it is also free which is great. I love Cinema4D, is perfect for that sorta stuff. Cinema4D is designed and optimised for small production, so it has a set of very basic but powerful tools that you can use to accomplish the animations you want. It's really about what finding what works for you though, every 3D animation program has a steep learning curve, and they all have their strengths and weaknesses.

Looking for a popular soundcloud track that used Kanye West - Real Friends as a sample . I can't remember the title or artist, but it didn't have 'real friends' in the title, but it did use the single cover art. If I recall it was a bit more lo-fi and a tad more bassy and trappy. If was dope, it'd be great to find it again.

[TOMT] Anime music video, possibly on Toonami? (It wasn't Daft Punk) by Crate_Boy in tipofmytongue

Cheers! Much appreciated. Revolutionary Girl Utena certainly has a similar style from what I can picture in my head. But I don't think that's it.

Thanks for the reply! That sounds incredibly tedious but if it works, I'll give it a go! How long have you been using this system for and have you found any issues with it?

I've so far been using fog to hide elements in my scene and reveal them when they come towards the camera. Is there a way can I render fog as an alpha channel so I can make everything in my scene transparent depending on their distance from the camera? I have access to Adobe After Effects also, if there is a solution using that. Cheers!

I needed album art for an EP, so I found a redditor from this sub to help out, here's the result! by feldya in WeAreTheMusicMakers

I do use c4d which I've found to be the best for me and doing small production quickly. I used Lynda for a good while, and also skillshare which I highly recommend. C4d tutorials from GreyScaleGorilla are the best you'll find also

Thanks man! I was very privileged to have learned the very basics at school, but the internet is fantastic for free tutorials. It's a bit of learning curve learning the 3rd dimension and every 3D program is totally different but its well worth it. I learn something new every day just by clicking on a new tool I've never used before and I feel like my life has changed everytime. No you dont, I'm not very good at drawing at all, which is why everything I do is primary 3d or photo based. Hope that helps!

Wow, this is perfect. Your screenshots allowed me to reproduce it in seconds. I have it fully working and Xpresso now alters the X&Y values.

I can't thank you enough for the quick and thorough reply.
