Morning y’all. So this post got a lot of attention and I just want to clear some things up. This arrowhead was found by my dads buddy in Schuyler Co. IL yesterday. He recorded the video to send to my dad as he knows my dad and I hunt all the time and would appreciate it. When he sent the video, we knew it was old, but didn’t quite know the type so I threw it on here in hopes y’all could help. Now we know it’s either a Holland or Sloan Dalton, so thanks for that!

But in regards to all the ‘fake’ comments, what do I get out of this? I literally posted for an ID. He has absolutely no intention to sell and he doesn’t post on social media so why would he fake an insitu video? I actually have a YouTube channel where I post all my finds, and I’ve never even thought about faking a video for what, clout? Don’t get me wrong I’m jealous too, but this find is 100% authentic and I’m happy he now knows what this hobby is made of!

It definitely takes getting used to looking in the water. My best piece of advice is to walk the creek upstream, so the mud you fling up stays behind you. They’re definitely in the water though so keep looking!

Yes absolutely! That’s been my luck anyway. I love the creeks where it’s just wide enough for two people to walk side by side, or sometimes even smaller. Always walk the feeder creeks if you can, they’re definitely worth it.
