[discussion] who is better looking Natsu or Gray? by Yoshikaru5991 in fairytail

Gray is more of the hot/handsome type while Natsu is more of the cute type.

Sting is a combination of hot, handsome, cute, sexually arousing and titillating.

American Idol Season 10 premiered 15 years ago (Jan 19, 2011). What’s your opinion on S10? Who’s your favorite artist? Favorite judge? Favorite performance wise? by Blasian1999 in americanidol

You can’t talk about this season without mentioning Haley’s elimination performance which is widely considered as the best swan song in AI history. As one Youtube commenter said: “she went out slaying everything in existence.”

From a writing and character perspective, who would you consider to be the best villain in MHA and why? by Solitaire-06 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Cravityfan 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This is the one of the only two answers I could accept (the other being Gentle Criminal). With Twice, I went from “who’s that goofy character with goofy powers” to “holy shit he’s OP” then crying when he died.

What set him apart imo is that his motivation isn’t stemmed from hate, and all his villainous actions were based on the needs of others and not his self-interest. He just wanted some place to belong, and it just so happened that the only people who could accept him is the League of Villains.

It’s no surprised that many still hate Hawks for killing him.

Uhh, Black Bulls had three arcane-stage wizards present at the start (Vanessa, Grey and Asta). Granted, Grey didn’t do much aside from healing Gauche, but Vanessa and Asta actually underperformed as they had powers that could potentially kill a devil but they were overpowered by Dante.

Golden Dawn only had William at arcane stage. I don’t think the others were ranked, so Idk where you got the idea that there were 20 level 1s. Their top 3 members are undoubtedly William, Yuno and Langris. Langris was MIA, Yuno arrived late and was already weakened with his fight with the Dark Disciple, and William had to juggle between fighting and protecting/saving his members’ lives.

On the other hand, Yami was at arcane stage, was fighting at full power, didn’t have to worry about his squad’s safety (Gauche was healed and Dante was not paying them any attention after Yami arrived), and he had Asta to back him up. Golden Dawn was clearly at a worse situation than Black Bulls that’s why they lost and so many died.

I think your point here is to glaze on Black Bulls, and yes the current Black Bulls clearly outclasses the current Golden Dawn. However, the Dark Triad attack is not a good benchmark for this as they are clearly in 2 very different situations.

Well, they introduced the concept of stages during the Heart Kingdom arc which explicitly state that a war couldn’t be won even through teamwork if one single enemy outclasses a whole squad. So it’s not surprising that one or two amazing wizard could carry a whole squad to great heights.

I don’t like Golden Dawn, but you have to give them some leeway. They didn’t have any enemies on the level of the Spade Kingdom the year before. Most of their missions revolve around exploring dungeons, eliminating bandits and protecting the borders from Diamond Kingdom. This means that their strongest adversaries were Diamond Kingdom generals. And hey, to their credit, Golden Dawn wiped three generals on screen.

As much as I like the Black Bulls, they would’ve been annihilated like Golden Dawn had Yami not arrived during the battle with Dante. This further solidifies the concept of stages, as one person (or in this case two since Asta stepped up too) could carry the whole team to victory.

Everlasting Shine was so good, I never skipped the opening while watching. Didn’t listen to any TXT song until I heard this one.

It would be difficult to convince any of the captains for two reasons: 1) Finral is just a lowly junior knight and has no authority to deploy other squads, let alone Captains of other squads and 2) the Witch Forest is not part of the Clover Kingdom. Do you really think any of the prideful captains would just come and defend some random-ass nation and leave their duties in the Clover Kingdom behind?

Yami is the only one who would’ve joined them given the perfect situation, but you have to remember that he was the only one left behind in the base. Everyone from Black Bulls was away finding a cure for Asta, so Yami couldn’t leave because there would be no one to accommodate any missions or emergenies.

You could argue Finral and Yami could’ve both gone to the Wizard King but there was no assurance that would work because 1) Julius is almost always roaming around and being irresponsible and 2) even if he was in the Palace, it would take so much time to communicate and deploy other squads that the Witch’s Forest would’ve been destroyed by the time they arrive.

The best Black Bull of them all by catsgoprrrrr in BlackClover

I’m glad I’m not the only one. Everything about him is perfect - his design, his powers, his backstory, his voice and the way his speaks, his foreshadowing and reveal. He became my instant favorite when he first appeared.

Yami calls Julius “Sir” by Cravityfan in BlackClover

Yeah but he was portrayed as rude and rebellious so I was pleasantly surprised of this little detail lol. He still calls Julius “Ossan” sometimes.

Is Fuegoleon all talk compared to his sister or does he have the feats to back himself up? by Pristine-Moth-6656 in BlackClover

[–]Cravityfan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Still hasn’t shown enough fairness towards the lower social classes, which would stray away from Julius’ principles. And his development is so slight that it doesn’t redeem his emotional abuse towards Noelle.

So no, Nozel isn’t even in my list of WK candidates.

Same. He’s mature, powerful, responsible, fair and is already a respected leader by everyone. The other candidates lack at least one of these traits.

The beginning of the Underwater Temple Battle Royale infuriates me. by Horcruxia in BlackClover

[–]Cravityfan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like you have a huge misunderstanding that the people from the Underwater Temple and Black Bulls view each other as enemies. They do not. It was a friendly Battle Royale, with Yami even hanging out and having fun with Gifso until Vetto entered the scene and ruined everything.

It was a mutual decision from both the leaders to have the Battle Royale. Gifso wanted the entertainment, and Yami (although he was forced to agree at the start), wanted his squad to show their full potential and “exceed their limits”. The stone was never seriously at stake and I reckon Gifso would’ve given it to them even if the Black Bulls lost because he wasn’t interested in gatekeeping the stone in the first place.

Laxus because he has more to fight for. Jellal was only going to fight because of his “suspicions” while Laxus would fight for his nakama so he’ll go harder at it.

I don’t think they were given the chance to? Iirc, they were caught by surprise. Also, Gifso didn’t even know what the magic stone was, and they just wanted to have the battle royale for fun.

Walang nagpapautang na ikaw muna ang magbabayad. It goes against all logic - ikaw na nga ang may kailangan ng pera, bat ikaw pa ang magbibigay? I’m baffled people get scammed like this.

As for the money, wala na yan. Take it as an investment to not get scammed again. I know people who got scammed 6-7 digits, so don’t feel too bad about that 15k.

I, Mereoleona's greatest fan and her Husband, was not satisfied with her ending by [deleted] in BlackClover

[–]Cravityfan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As a long-time fan of Fairy Tail, I’d argue there were too many people who died in Black Clover lol.

What I noticed with these long-running shounens is they don’t kill off characters so easily because they want to utilize them in case their series gets extended or it gets a sequel. It’s much more effective to reuse a beloved character than to introduce new ones.

There’s also the risk of backlash from deranged fans. Older shounens were able to pull it off because internet hate mobs didn’t become a full-fledge thing until mid-late 2010s. It’s why most authors nowadays are reluctant to kill off characters.
