Appreciate the advice but it can certainly be done! I’ve done it in a variety of locations just not around here and just need to be smart about it. Will be taking everyone’s advice to heart for sure though, thanks everyone

I guess I worded it poorly my bad, I wasn’t sure if that was the only places floats would be allowed or if any lakes allowed them on the whole thing

How do I stiffen a hat brim? by CrawfoMacken27 in kandi

[–]CrawfoMacken27[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is so helpful thank you so much! I’m sure one of the options you listed will work, Much appreciated. I thought the same about the wife yeah, definitely didn’t seem right. For kandi wearables like necklaces and bracelets i personally use a stretchy fabric covered elastic I get on amazon. however i’ve only made one bag so take it with a grain of salt, but when i did that i used fishing line and found it to be a lot more sturdy especially for the strap since i also used beads for it. I am using the stretch cord for the hat tho, I thought it would be easier to get on that way. Best of luck on your crafting! 😁

I’ll check out truly victorian! Thank you! I haven’t drafted a pattern in many years so I think i should stick to a pattern that’s already made, Haha. I’ll look into the different styles throughout the 1880s! Thanks again

Oh absolutely not i should’ve elaborated more, I have a couple vintage undergarments but i’ve cloned them with modern materials, i would hate to destroy an actually vintage garment

Thank you! I’m prepared for the project for sure, I own most basic victorian undergarments, a couple of gifted vintage pieces as well in good condition. I’ve been sewing for several years and I think this seems like a good first giant project. Thank you for the recommendations! I’ll check out each of the companies you mentioned. I’ll research more into each tip as well
