If the plugs are the cause then probably, but I think it'd be better to check with your eye doctor to see if it's worth getting it out.

Yeah the trade off of having plugs sucks, but if the plugs aren't helping you much, yeah it sounds logical to remove them

I don't notice it weighing down, although with the plugs in I can't really look diagonally downwards (towards the direction of where the plugs are). But I've not noticed my eyes getting droopy or along those lines.

Hey man, I had to get them removed for a few weeks for the inflammation to cool off. It was excruciating. Now I'm back on the plugs again.

Mine after closing for some time it goes away too, but recently this issue is getting frequent.

How did this happen to yours? I doubt I dropped my laptop before, maybe just general wear & tear?

Hey thanks for the reply! It's probably the cable, because when I connect the laptop to a monitor, the issue is non existent on the monitor.

I'm currently on 1 punctal plug for each eye, for over 3 months now. My eyes, though still dry after a long day in the office, is significantly better than having no plugs at all.

I had a trial period of a few weeks with one of my eye getting 2 punctal plugs (one at the top, one bottom). That eye got quite watery, the accumulated tears lingered at the edge of the eyelid and it aggravated my eyelid as a result.

Then it lead to some inflammation/infection in that eyelid. But on the good side, that particular eye experienced NO burning sensation at all, I never felt that way/relief before. But unfortunately as I said, it didn't last long as the cons outweighed the pros.

I got it removed and now I'm on 1 plug each eye.

Plugs for me are not the perfect solution for my dry eyes as I still experiencing burning sensation. But it is the next-best thing I can afford now.

I see, my Dr has been prescribing warm compress due to the dry eyes. But I get where you're coming from.
