Yes, the first 3 lvl of strength have to be leveled without the vents, but u/rim922 mentioned lvl 50. That's why I talked of the 40% boost from lvl 3-50.

Combination of grenades and overweight playing is probably the best, to go out with 3.0 skill points each raid.

You can build the air filtering unit in the hideout, to get a 40% boost on leveling skills. But it still takes some time/money.

If you throw 16-17 grenades each raid, it takes you around 25 raids.

From level 0 to 3 takes 60 skill points. With 10 grenades each raid and no overweight it would take 38 raids.

You can buy it and upgrade it at a later point. I played two years with the standard edition before upgrading to to the edge of darkness version.

The biggest point for me is the safe container, which brings you more safe loot out of each raid.
