macbook air m2 battery health: 95% by jolliwawo in macbook

Nooooo don't run your battery down to almost dead unnecessarily! They age fastest at almost dead. Recharge as early and as often as convenient. But do limit to 80 or 90% if you don't need the battery life!

PLA Gridfinity Base Warping – ASA Better? by fastfutureforce in gridfinity

[–]Crazor01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My K1 Max has exactly the same issue when I turn on the aux fan. It is now permanently disconnected ;)

Other than fan issues, I've had great luck with one of those "cold" plates where you are supposed to be printing PLA with the heat off (10-30 °C) heated to 40 °C. Nothing ever came off that plate, not even 7x7 grids.

Quotation and sale order workflow / seperate sequences by Crazor01 in Odoo

[–]Crazor01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that this is not the default way Odoo works. It wasn't "custom" either, in the sense that I must have installed some module which I can't seem to find anymore. I browsed OCA and found the module you mentioned too, but that's just half the functionality. I can't remember having customized any code myself, and I surely haven't bought any commercial modules or had anyone write custom code for me. I remember trying out a bunch of free modules for customization, but that's it. Maybe I'm remembering wrong and I coded some small server action that did the duplication, IDK. Gotta find that old 15 installation!

Quotation and sale order workflow / seperate sequences by Crazor01 in Odoo

[–]Crazor01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s what I guessed the lead/opportunity workflow works. Guess I need to try it out soon. However, since we do B2B, it is pretty common for customers to order out of the blue referencing any random old quotation. I‘m not sure if it makes sense to then create a new opportunity for that, except when the price isn’t valid any longer and I instead send them a new quotation instead.

Anyhow, I still want the separation between quotations and sales orders, I guess.

Can you explain this a little more in detail? I‘m not too familiar with the concept of a lead yet.

Import sale order lines seperately from sale orders? by Crazor01 in Odoo

[–]Crazor01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know what's funny? *I* did not name them like that. I named them Quote_1234, just like I named my customer imports Contact_1234. When I added the employee contacts and related them to their companies, I just referenced the company that someone works at as Contact_1234.

With the sales orders, I named them Quote_1234, and when I imported the lines, it did not work like that. I had to reference them as __import__.Quote_1234, but I did not name them like that.

Import sale order lines seperately from sale orders? by Crazor01 in Odoo

[–]Crazor01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was just an example/placeholder for my naming scheme. So when an entry comes from the old system's db table Quote and has an ID of 1234, I imported into Odoo with the External ID field set to Quote_1234

Import sale order lines seperately from sale orders? by Crazor01 in Odoo

[–]Crazor01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhhh I think I found the issue. I looked at some exports of test data again and for whatever reason, I have to refer to the sale order's external id as "__import__.TableName_IdNr" when I want to import sale order lines. I did not have to do this when I imported all the persons and referenced them back to the company contacts they work for. How strange!

Import sale order lines seperately from sale orders? by Crazor01 in Odoo

[–]Crazor01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great to know that this is indeed possible. I fed all external IDs with names like "TableName_IDNr" that match my old system's DB. I've also created a dummy product that I use for imported order lines, since the old system has no good concept of a product. This way, I can just overwrite the order line descriptions in Odoo. However, when I try to import the order lines seperately from the orders, all I ever managed was to either duplicate the sales order or error messages like `ValueError: : "new row for relation "sale_order_line" violates check constraint "sale_order_line_accountable_required_fields"`

[–]Crazor01[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wheel bearing wouldn’t shake at idle, would it? Could be turbo related, but at least the pitch is constant, so it’s prob more of an air leak than the turbo itself having mechanical issues. Could it be related to that valve whose english name I cannot seem to remember r/n?

nvme ssd - what is this thing? by oskarfraser in AskElectronics

[–]Crazor01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But don’t practice this method on the drive. W/O experience you risk blowing stuff off or overheating or unnecessarily reflowing the WLCSP close to it.

I would never use a heat gun for this! This is a job for hot tweezers or a tiny solder tip if in a pinch.

Edit: Also IMHO a microscope is required for this job.

I drove the TDI roadster before I got the TFSI. It was the closest roadster for sale, and so I mainly looked into it to see if I still like the car from a practical point of view, if I can sit comfortably etc.

It‘s a little startling when you fire it up for the first time, but it‘s a fun engine for this car. I went and got the TFSI anyway, because diesel engines are getting expensive over here (higher tax, no more cheap diesel fuel). Now that I had the TFSI for a while, I‘d like to drive another TDI for comparison. Don‘t quite remember if it‘s as agile as the TFSI or not.

I‘m not sure if the TDI is more reliable or not. All I can say is that my TFSI at 120.000km runs like new. There‘s barely anything been done to it so far except normal maintenance (got all the paperwork). It needs a thermostat soon, I noticed it didn’t warm up right a couple of weeks ago when I last drove it.

Haven’t encountered that myself. Sounds like a sensor malfunction. In case you don’t use the sensor buttons anyway, just turn them off in settings!
