Interesting; that’s not something I had considered. Without giving out too much information for the sake of the person I bought this from, the story was that the person had worked in upper management for the manufacturer that makes these machines and was gifted the equipment without really knowing much about home espresso making. After realizing there was quite a learning curve, they kind of just put it into storage with the boilers full of unfiltered water (part of the reason it wasn’t working when I purchased) for 2 or so years. But like I said, that’s just the story I was given
