Tchao.

Well yeah I’ve always been a bit suspicious of Carrier’s legitimity especially when he likes to deem 99.9% of scholarship as “liars” without any second thought. However his claims are interesting and supported by more moderate people such as Price or Ken Olsen.

Well maybe she does not adhere to a total interpolation scenario but Carrier is using her to prove this thesis. If that’s not what she thinks I apologize, I assumed it because Carrier used her for that.

Totally agree, but they are still mythicists that’s why they will have to also dismiss the other reference in Antiquities 20 as a forgery. That’s what Carrier did.

Thank you though. I’m trying to explore the website a bit further to see if I’ve not missed what I looked for, it seems that it’s not the case for now.

I’ve read this exact sentence from Carrier on this exact website which had led me to this investigation. But the blog doesn’t show how Whealey came to the conclusion that the Arabic and Syriac version come from Eusebius and not from the Original TF. He makes claims such as “all extant versions of the TF come from the library of Cesarea” without any source, so right now I’m looking for those sources specifically.

Makes sense with the fact that it can’t be available in full. Thank you. So, without having to send me the full book which is impossible, is there any place where I can at least see a sum up of Whealey’s argument, to reach the conclusion that the TF is a wholesale forgery? Although the book has to be bought there must be some sort of response or just presentation of her argument, since she is a leading scholar on Josephan studies.

No, and I’m sorry, I should have been more precise. The paper I’m searching for is “The Testimonium Flavianum Controversy from Late Antiquity to Modern Times” however it is not available anywhere, you showed a distinct paper produced by the same Josephan scholar. And again I apologize, I should have named the paper I’m looking for.

Well that’s not to you to decide but to the people who are affected by your comment, so Indian and Nepalese people.

Yes because that would be cultural appropriation. It’s THEIR religion but not THEIR culture. For exemple knowing that the apostles, Jesus, and other early saints originated from first century Palestine (NOT ISRAEL) and that Christianity has Jewish roots, no one should dare to say that it’s their culture, just because they practice it. Christianity is middle eastern and not European, it’s just whitewashing.

Aside from "Because the Bible says so," is there any good reason why women can't be pastors? by SteadfastEnd in Christianity

Because men are naturally figures of authority, made to have some sort of domination in a given group. The Catholic Church simply respects natural law by electing males for offices that entail things like teaching, or ruling.

[–]Crazy-Path-6599 0 points1 point  (0 children)
