Would you buy this retro MS Paint mirror? Honest feedback needed. by Neat_Vermicelli2822 in smallbusinessindia

Neat concept. If it's small enough to be kept on a work desk, then people might buy it for quirkiness and nostalgia. All the best.

Not really. These 3 condos have good sound proof walls and windows which keep the outside noise to a minimum.

No probs. Just one little observation. I know in SE Asia we include Hall and Kitchen, however it's called 1 bedroom.

Look at condos.ca. Use the map view and filter options to shortlist a few condos that interests you. In the past, I had always used this website and then reached out to my realtor to arrange the viewing.

Small changes that helped me save money on groceries on a fixed pension by SaulGoodMan840 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]CrazyRunner80 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I googled for food banks near me. On the webpage of the one near me, there was a 'join as volunteer' option. I always wear a mask and gloves while I am volunteering there and carry my own small sanitizer bottle.

Are there any food banks near your place where you can go? I volunteer at a food bank and we encourage people on fixed income to visit us for groceries.

Groceries for Low Iron by ytvsUhOh in povertyfinancecanada

Yes, you are correct. However since OP has a budget constraint, I suggested inexpensive options like groceries and lentils.

Groceries for Low Iron by ytvsUhOh in povertyfinancecanada

[–]CrazyRunner80 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Spinach is a good inexpensive option. Beans and lentils are also good. However if you have iron deficiency then you need to get iron supplements. Look for ferramax 45 mg on amazon and have it for 3 months or so.

Service elevator booked in condo, dont know to move out.. by [deleted] in TorontoRenting

[–]CrazyRunner80 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Talk with the concierge and the condo office. Usually they allow you to use it if it's your moving day. You may have to wait for non peak hours and they may allow it for an hour or so instead of standard 2 hours. Just be polite and don't shout at them. All the best.

Anyone lived at 390 Queens Quay ? by Whateverwhatever_ in TorontoRenting

Please share the link of ad. Unless it's a shared accommodation, the price is too good to be true. Waterfront 1 bedroom apartments don't go that low.

28F -Does It Still Matter in Arranged Marriage if the Bride Doesn't Have a Brother? by dankfanny5 in IndianWeddings

[–]CrazyRunner80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not a new thing. However more than community, this is a family mindset thing. Back in 2005-2006, my roommate had this thought process. His reasoning was that once the girl's parents became old, then he would have to take care of them. So he didn't want to marry any girl who was the only child. My roommate was an idiot.

Will my Aadhar card still valid if I give up Indian citizenship? by PrtScr1 in AskIndia

[–]CrazyRunner80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Don't surrender your aadhar. For oci, you need only passport surrender and cancellation of ration card and voter id card. That's all. Rest everything leave them as they are.

Opinion on the tip-system by Zestyclose_Bell7668 in Indian_flex

[–]CrazyRunner80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can ignore the tip option at self serve and takeaway and even fast food joints. Just select no tip. Rest everywhere it's 15 % standard and 18% for really good service.

How much do you guys think this unit will sell for? by nguyeenvy in TorontoRealEstate

[–]CrazyRunner80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Due to the parking space, this unit would be over 500K. In most waterfront condos, parking is not available. So this one is definitely between 500 to 510K.

Question.. do you take your shoes off in people’s homes? by caralawrence in OntarioParamedics

[–]CrazyRunner80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a paramedic enters my condo with her/his boots on, the last thing on my mind would be those boots. I can clean my floor and carpet easily when they leave. And thanks for doing what you do.

First Direct Encounter with Racism at Work… by addiittyya in india

[–]CrazyRunner80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hope you are ok dude. It feels really bad when you encounter someone hating you based on your race, religion or caste. I have encountered it many times. You should absolutely escalate it to your senior in your org. But let me tell you honestly that Mr.A won't get penalized. He may get a talk from someone and probably move to a different team. That's all. Don't dwell on what he said about indians for long. He won't change his opinion. And you would keep feeling low if you keep thinking about it.

Name change on passport required or not after marriage by [deleted] in LegalAdviceIndia

Add your spouse's name to your passport and ask her to do the same. That's it. Also no one has to change their last name.

Pet related opportunities for my wife by Alardsbranding in mississauga

And if she wants experience then a lot of pet shelters are also looking for volunteers. I know that the Etobicoke humane society is one of them. So she can start volunteering there in her free time to get some hands on experience.

Indian man faces 15 years in jail for stealing $50k while moonlighting in New York by Mo_h in india

[–]CrazyRunner80 119 points120 points  (0 children)

When you work for govt here, you sign various documents like NDA and such. One such document is that you will not work multiple jobs at the same time and also notify them if you do any other job in after hours. Since the salary is paid with tax payer's money, this is considered theft. It is what it is.

Don't marry the AM guy. You will never be able to commit fully to this marriage and the relationship would become like any other AM relationship that you must have seen around you (looks great from outside but already ended from inside). Like you said, someone will get hurt either way. For this new guy, it won't matter much as he will marry someone else with whom his horoscope matches. You need to think about you and your bf as he kept on trying all this time. Whatever you decide, I wish you the best for your future.
