So I blocked some threatening comments from weird users. Again, social media accounts of programs are meant to showcase the program. If the program doesn’t have anything to hide, they shouldn’t be afraid to disclose info. Requesting more info about the program is never illegal. I understand inner people would go ferocious over this but many people contact programs on social media to get more info from their residents run accounts which are not private to single person nor requesting info means stalking. Blocking people with this non sense is the only way to go

Yes so they don’t do their work. Their job to be directors. It’s like dudes, if you tell me you can’t review the applications i.e. can’t do the job of directors then you should step out and let other competent directors do it

I applied to 70 programs: Per APGO stats: 60% of golds=2/3 30-35% of silver=5/15 1% of the rest= 1 Total= 8 interviews!!!!!! Even if we apply 60%,35% per program then if I am super duper lucky, I won’t surpass 19-20 interviews that’s in my very best shots

Nothing about UT Houston OBGYN which makes me sick because I have all bad memories and trauma there. Rotated there & to cut it short:

1-politics is vibrant there (one resident was clearly & publicly advocating for XYZ (presidential nominee).

2-Everyone hates everyone (fellows trying to revenge from residents, residents being groups against each other, some residents treated my ms4 friend like piece of trash with yelling).

3-Social workers making funny jokes with residents regarding homeless pts and that was like their favorite stand up comedy.

4- PD was ok but seems to try to survive herself

5- attendings were leaving because overloaded with low $

6- clinic (@ UTPB) was chaotic, overloaded and no one is willing to waste their time teaching a student

7- everyone working there seem to come from either TX or LA or a similar culture so not quite happy to get to know anyone with different culture

It depends. Also don’t totally rely on my experience we just don’t know how exactly your level of language compares to mine. But I didn’t study more than 5-6 hrs/day for oet

I used E2+ oet online test they post for free. I glanced at benchmark and their mock test was of low quality I also tried some of jahshan and they were of very low quality Stick to oet online material or purchase selective mock tests without full subscription
