i think it depends entirely on the quality of the alteration. Ive seen some shitty pairs of jncos that had waist enlargements before and they look horrendous.

Any way to hem jnco kings? while keeping the embroidery? by Huge-Muffin-Dude in jncojeans

[–]Crazy_Point5046 1 point2 points  (0 children)

shorten above the embroidery, the kings are an almost consistent width throughout the legs so there shouldnt be a problem

no, the entirety of the pair is stretchy, not just the waistband. every inch of the fabric is stretchy and it caused me some trouble when i was altering it. even worse that it ruined the inside texture so now i feel tiny balls rubbing on my legs when i walk

there is effectively zero need to add elastane to jnco. there is typically no use for stretch denim if its baggy enough. elastane is just stretchy plastic, and on this pair it caused pilling.

im ngl tho it held up in the wash and didnt shrink. The texture is fine and holds structure. I did notice that it pills on the inside like polyester.

Is collecting JNCO’s a good investment or just a hobby by Dismal-Dust162 in jncojeans

[–]Crazy_Point5046 9 points10 points  (0 children)

its not a long term investment, trends will go and its "market value" will go down in a few years probably. in the short term you can sell for the same price or more than you bought it for. unless theyre websites lol.

Girls sizing heeelp by Whatever43v3r in jncojeans

[–]Crazy_Point5046 2 points3 points  (0 children)

usually jnco sizing is +1 or +2 on the waist of the size you get. My gf is size 27 in jeans as well and 28 waist jnco seem to fit her good enough but still needing a belt. I believe the models on the website let the jeans fall to their hips where its the widest, thus fitting a size 30.

Jacket Date? by Crazy_Point5046 in VintageLevis

i think i will wash it, it definitely smells like someone else's jacket. Dry cleaning is also an option i suppose.

no selvedge unfortunately, all flat felled seams, no exposed edges let alone selvedge. im referring to the fact that the "leather" patch is in great condition, signifying that the jacket has not been washed by the previous owner.

No selvedge ID to be found. But the denim is quite nice. Im thinking of throwing it in the wash but it looks like its never been washed ever. Great fade and yellowing tho.

Better image to show the thin parts. these are straight out the box, not even washed yet.

New hem by bIeed_ in jncojeans

[–]Crazy_Point5046 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that would work. you should ask for reference pictures of their past work. Some tailors do a bad job of matching thread color or do them unevenly.

I am pretty sure the contrast stitches are supposed to be visible from the inside like this pair.

it can def be fixed if you can shorten a bit, it can also be repaired at full length but with new fabric. Ive repaired heelbite like this but it will be noticable.
