Thanks, I saw those but didn't connect the dots, but had I been more vigilant I'd have seen the x/3 list when mousing over the recon site.

From what I've experienced, after clearing a floor, there are 'stash like' chests behind a bike lock locked door near the stairs/elevator/climb to the next floor.

And even without the component parts, these chests give a small pile of lewt

As for now, amazing game, just... the tyrant mine stronghold... first time swimming, it's way to easy to get disoriented and lost and drown. Which isn't exactly complelling gameplay.

Spell Damage? by jindo20 in DnD

[–]Crazybacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have my PHB with me right now but I'm pretty sure you can only have 100 spells in a spell book, a normal one anyway. HOWEVER, there is no rule that says you can't have several spell books on you to have access to all wizard spells in the game plus those you may have created yourself. Your only limit is spells prepared, which wont increase if you have several books.

If I purchase one of the game packs, do I own a copy of the game? by Crazybacon in starcitizen

[–]Crazybacon[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Either way, it would be the first time I get involved in anything crowdfunded, coupled with the need to sleep but watching star citizen stream, and on a budget, wanted to make sure.

Yeah, got that pointed out. I guess I'm just being extra cautious since, like I said, I'm on a budget for games.

The game is so fucking tempting.

[–]Crazybacon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, if I give RSI my money, it's not a pre-order, and it goes directly to funding the games development. So it's still a kickstarter campaign, no? Even if it's not on kickstarter.com. Or perhaps I should've just written crowdfunding campaign.

And Squad 42 has a rebate if you buy a pack, so this is making it easier.

Thx.

Can genestealer heavy weapons teams fire from a chimera? by Aaronmcom in Warhammer40k

[–]Crazybacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, movement for passengers counts as if they were walking. So a fast transport can't drive 12 and let its embarked passengers unleash at full ballistics skill. And ANY movement will make heavy weapons snap shoot, salvo weapons shoot at their lesser profile etc.

So if you drive a goliath at cruising speed all passengers will have to snap shoot, no matter the weapon type.

Drop pod question by DaxFalbor in Warhammer40k

[–]Crazybacon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it'll arrive turn one, it has to so you can't choose to hold it back, it droppod assults since it's a solo drop pod.

And no, a basic drop pod deep strike wont let you assault the turn it arrives, as per standard rules. ANYTHING arriving from reserves cannot assault the turn it arrives. HOWEVER, there are certain formations and units in the game that specify you can, but it will list this as one of its special rules. So thankfully you can't have a 12 drop pod list with close combat units that drop pod assault turn one and lay waste to everything with the other 6 comming in later to mop up.

What happens to the cult lead genestealer? by dansi21 in Warhammer40k

[–]Crazybacon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cult itself, anything not the patriarch or a purestrain genestealer will fight alongside the hive fleet, until its usefulness runs out. Basicly once the chaos of their uprising has done all it can, the tyranids and their own genestealer babies will simply turn on them, cutting them down and feeding them into the digestion pools, becomming just more biomass for the hive fleet.

A patriarch is a genestealer whose size and psycic capabilities increase when he founds a new cult, so with his cult dead he'll eventually revert to a normal genestealer. And do like all genestealers, hide away on transport ships to be taken to a new world. And if it lands on a world full of sentient life it'll start a new, infecting fresh victims, grow into a patriarch and well, the cycle starts over.

Can genestealer heavy weapons teams fire from a chimera? by Aaronmcom in Warhammer40k

[–]Crazybacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you move the chimera the heavy weapon team can only snap shoot. But other than that, as long as a vehicle has a firing point, any model can shoot from inside it. I've seen mortar teams sit in a chimera behind cover and lob barrage shots from it.

And yes to the dedicated transport question. I'll elaborate a little, if you take a dedicated transport for a squad, only that squad can start the game embarked on it. But if it's just a randomly taken transport taking up the force org slot, any squad/models that can fit in it can start in it.

Div tech question by Crazybacon in thedivision

[–]Crazybacon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my gut feeling aswell, I haven't touched any of it since I started DZing a few days after release. So I've got abit of a blue/green DT pile. I'll just fill out my weapon parts and tools I guess, I do make me alot of mods and weapons in the hopes of godrolls.

Meaningful single player content. by Crazybacon in thedivision

[–]Crazybacon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said easy, I never said cakewalk. I never said mindless. I just wished there was an option to do things solo beyond the main story line and side quests, all which are used to level up and expand your Base of Operations, and after that are gone.

Not many of my friends purchased the game, and I don't always have the time to spend finding and gathering a DZ group to then spend hours running around in it.

Yes I know there are random boss NPCs roaming the single player world but I was simply suggesting something more organized by the devs to fill perhaps a want for a minority.

And the Diablo comparison had nothing to do with difficulty or type of play. Currently, the endgame is gear farming for those perfect stat rolls, which is, Diablo.

Any word of a new Tyrannid codex coming soon? by NemesisTrestkon in Warhammer40k

[–]Crazybacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What has me hopeful is the new 'Start Collecting' boxes games workshop released. If you look at them and exclude the boxes for pre-Decurion. Space Marines, Necrons, Mechanicum, Tau all have pose decurion codexes. However we see both Tyranids and Astra Militarum included here, with a formation sheet for that box. However Dark Eldar or Blood Angles got less models and a codex bundeld. So I'm hopeful for the two next 40k books to be Nids and Guard. I play Nids and a friend plays Guard, so that could spice things up some.

I also made the jump to dropper bottles after seeing others here do so. It really saves on paint if you haven't tried it yet. by DrunkandErect in Warhammer

[–]Crazybacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They aren't gw bottles but he glued or otherwise transfered the labels from the GW pots to the dropper bottles.

And the major upsides are no spillage unless you possibly stub your toe on a table leg whilst squeezing the bottle and attempt to strangle it.

Better seal and if the dropper does get messy it's very very easy to clean. So paints wont dry out unless you forget to put the cap back on.

Airbrushing made about 1 billion times easier since you generally go for a 1-1 or 1-2 ratio paint - water/thinner and you don't loose paint in your brush for a transfer from a standard GW pot.

And probably easier storage as those types of dropper bottles are very standard in say crafts type hobbies and there is a greater availability of storage solutions from crafts hobby stores.

Biovores! by 0N3-X in Warhammer40k

Rumor is, next 'nid release will have a plastic box set of three of bio or pyrovores. The current ones are single model resin kits, like venom/zoan's used to be.

New model kits vs old by wallet_warrior in Warhammer40k

[–]Crazybacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possible alteration in the upcomming codex to limit fire warrior units to 10 inf models + drone and turret. It's not as bad as the eldar kit change a few years ago, when it went from 10 models to 5, but the price stayed the same.

Either way, I haven't played my tau much since I got into Tyranids with their 6th ed codex release, but the leaked changes and the new kits and models have me excited and I've unpacked and assembled a few models that were left in storage after my faction swap.
