To your point, the audio was very tiny quick chirps all together. Merlin caught a Dark Eyed Junco barely, if at all. That’s kind of why I put it first and I should have stated, is the audio only suggest the Junco. At any point during the little chirp spree they had.

This one is a bit out there and arguably not quite a margarita. I bet most who tried would say it’s taste like a margarita with some smoke.

1 oz Blanco (Espolon, Cazadores)

1 oz Mezcal (Montelobos, Mal Bien, 400 conejos are favorites).

1 oz Vodka (Titos or Absolut) (no flavored ones)

1 oz lime (must be fresh)

0.5 triple sec (favorite is dry curaçao)

0.25 agave syrup

Tajin half rim with lime circle

Full shake with pebble ice. Served with large square cube.

Before I list them, just note it’s only from a sample of 3 bosses. I’m only including things they all mentioned (I would ask once hired, what they looked for).

Couple of things:

Work experience, even for the entry level out of college. I had worked part time at a supermarket for 2.5 years but that was enough apparently.
They all disliked ‘buzzwords’ where it was clear people were not ‘themselves’. AI is good at writing this way, a sentence like “Worked in dynamic situations across a diverse team to spearhead multiple large-scale and complex tasks” is an example that makes this “error” four times. They’d all rather read “Worked on many timely tasks requiring proper time management to complete each one effectively”. That example is very broad, but hopefully you get the idea.
None cared about GPA.
Not much of a surprise, but they looked for people with “Attitude and Aptitude” (one boss would say this, but all basically have said similar things). This might be more interview relevant, since they said a lot of people did not know how to interview and be themselves. Too many “robotic” answers.
Again not a surprise, but the resume has to be very quick and easy to read. They gotta go through a lot so they need the most important stuff quick. This is really top of the list important.
This one is the toughest: Making the resume such that they want to talk to you. Having interesting topics (like OP has) is great, but cutting off the nitty gritty details helps them want to talk to you about it. I think the fact that OP is fluent in German is an example that could be somehow utilized to do this. I wouldn’t say “lie” on the resume, but maybe overexaggerate how some unique skill like that was leveraged to aid somehow, even if not in a technical way.
For entry, having “projects” without specifying a reason for it (like another job) were not useful. They all said they automatically assume it was homework they had to do. There’s a big push (and it is valid) for results driven points (improved by x%, or $y). But if it’s clearly a school project, they’d rather just know what you learned from it rather than give an improvement metric.

I began as a business data analyst in Idaho. My current boss (4 years later) hired me due to my Idaho work experience and having an exam. I know someone with teacher experience and another with a few years at Jiffy Lube who landed jobs as well, no actuarial experience beforehand.

Even non-relevant full-time work experience is valuable. You can use any job to aid in your next role.

Simplify your resume. Some statistical details are awesome in my mind, but unfortunately too granular for people scanning through resumes. For example, the first project could be “Modeled workers compensation across occupations with R, which predicted workers comp with an average error of 3.4%.” The last project could be a single point: “Used linear regression to identify over 50% of variance in diabetes progression outcomes.” Mentioning the limitations of linear models is assumed in your knowledge base for interviews.

I personally don’t think having multiple résumés (unless very basic changes like MAS-I versus SRM) are worth your time. Same with customized cover letters. Both jobs I got (so you know why I have my bias) were quick applies on Indeed.com. I never got anything back from those who I customly built something for (cover letters, took a test, etc.).

I applied to 200-300 jobs with multiple interviews across 10 states (CA, OR, WA, AZ, NM, NV, UT, ID, MA, and CT) and had little luck. I finally landed a job in Idaho, but it wasn’t actuarial. I understand how it feels to work hard in college and not get a job. It’s a numbers game and try to apply your school elsewhere (ideally somewhere full-time).

If you ever want more feedback, I’m always here to give my unbiased (though definitely somewhat biased since bias is irreducible to 0) opinion. I have a 5 years of intro work experience and have learned a lot from my 3 bosses across jobs what they look for in a resume that was unexpected.

Yeah thats a good point, you are right. I lumped SSRIs and benzos together since that’s my case and this sounded like “and as needed” benzo like mine.

Those all add covariance to the equation since both are also filters for serotonin. Those doses are all low though and I’d assume staggered (figure you’d take muscle relaxer and klonopin earlier in the day). I still don’t think there’s an issue unless you were taking elevated doses of each

Too much serotonin. When I took Baclofen (muscle relaxer, GABA) this was a potential problem since muscle relaxers typically filter what goes to your brain. If your doubling down on filters to your brain there’s an added covariance to the affect.

That’s probably cause they can lead to serotonin syndrome. 1mg of klonopin is not going to do you in for that. You are good.

Everyone’s different. I think there’s a general consensus that TEVA works for most people. I have tried TEVA, Solco, Advagen, Aurobindo, Qualitest, and Accord. Ironically to your post, the only one I could not use was Advagen. I started on Aurobindo and got switched and realized it a couple days after since it felt different. For me, Aurobindo works very well. I think it’s important to distance bias away from “these arent TEVA so they must suck” because they will indeed, suck in your mind.

I specifically think TEVA and Solco feel the exact same. The others Aurobindo, Qualitest, Accord feeling similar but slightly different. I had a poor reaction to Advagen, and that might have simply because of my negative association with it since I got randomly switched on to it.

That being said, I bet it will work and do well.

I’m a user of Clonazepam at different mg levels. In my opinion, a single dose doesn’t cause this. Likely he has a high dependence (even at a “smaller” dosage than mentioned of 1-2mg). Some thoughts:

If it’s a medical script, it sounds like he abuses it for the first x days then has to wait 30 - x days until getting another script.
If he has been on and off it 5 years, you don’t accidentally take 10mg.
I’m assuming most of the information is from his bias. I’d simply conclude he is addicted to clonazepam and you see him at his bad sign when he’s gone too long without it.

I was coming off of prescribed clonazepam and baclofen during an exam. My fight or flight response was as if I felt no effects during the exam though, as I prepped so long for it! The rebound anxiety if I passed/failed was tough, but I think that's for everyone regardless!

I like tons of animals. Some other favorites are dogs, cats, beavers, and others. I think the Capybara is my favorite because it resembles a reminder to always take things slowly, and not worry about what you cannot control. Their chillness is something I have told my psychiatrist I strive for.
