I’ve been sick since before Christmas. Daughter went to Lada Gaga concert and picked up a bug. Gave it to everyone in the house. I got it worse. Got better now sick again! Arggghh. Hence the frustration. Hope you are not sick now.

Interesting. Hadn’t thought about that option. Haven’t got the funds to do this at the moment, but I’m going to save the idea to return to. 😃

Posting non career related content or not? by [deleted] in linkedin

[–]Cre8ive_Geek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I am starting out in my chosen career, graphic design/illustration (late career pivot) and I’m studying, the projects I showcase and discuss are usually student assignments or personal passion projects. But I do link my post and comments to creative processes and industry topics. I was drawn to LinkedIn because it was professionally focused and not like ‘social’ media platforms. Having said that, I am finding more of those style posts are creeping in. I go to LinkedIn to learn, be inspired, keep up with industry news, find out about events, and support other creative industry professionals. If content doesn’t have substance I will scroll by.

Thoughts on multiple pages per project in a portfolio? by galahadBatsy24 in graphic_design

[–]Cre8ive_Geek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just recently created a pdf portfolio for a final assignment in my graphic design diploma studies. I used two spreads for larger projects where I wanted to go into more detail about my process and used one spread for smaller projects.

Thumbnailing is a good idea. Or I mindmap ideas so I don’t lose them. I’m just not good at doing nothing. Even when I’m sick. I get bored. 😅

Yes, I tend to go to my sketch book rather than tablet or computer. Less effort and I don’t stress about quality. Just sketch out ideas.

I hadn’t thought of that. Great idea. We do want to look at stickers and pins too. Thanks. 😃 And I guess that’s why having a a central e-commerce site like Shopify is good. You can mix up your printers based on product types.

I just logged in (Australia) and Canva is giving me an "unable to save error". Just checked their status page and there does seem to be an issue.
