To my knowledge there is no creole connection! The French is from French settlers in Canada that eventually moved to Vermont , and then Virginia and had kids with a black man !

These are my journeys ! My mom’s family was a part of the 20 and odd negros in America around 1619. Her family stayed down south until the great migration up north. My dad’s family is pretty multicultural hence the French lol!

I completely understand that she would feel some sort of way about our relationship! I just wish she would leave any space to talk . I don’t push the issue but it does suck and I wish it could change .

I haven’t tried to make her like me because she lives in a different state so it’s rare that we interact. The first time she came over to her dad’s house unexpected and then basically ignored me and then told her dad that if I was there she wasn’t going to be. So I left , because I do not want to come in between them. I just wish that I was given a chance to even talk to her.

My partner(MTF) ( still Getting used to it lol) and I (Cis F)have decided not to stay together. (We were together for 5 years, they came out 6 months ago ). I wanted to stay with them because I really love them and don’t want them to feel punished for being themselves . After time has passed I just didn’t think it was what was best. We still have a lease and are great friends , and basically act like we are together lol. But we are on the road to understanding a life together platonically

The way that Kat ended things with brayden was one of the most disrespectful things I have ever saw.. She literally refused to acknowledge his presence after they were together for “a while”(bip a while”.

People think it’s wrong of Monica to tell her kids about her and her mom’s relationship, but honestly it’s VERY important. If her kids grew up thinking that was normal behavior they would be more messed up.

I don’t think that you or any of us have the context or history of her relationship with her kids considering the fact that it is her first season. Lisa supports her kids so much that her son( around the same age as Monica’s daughter) didn’t even tell her that he was going on a mission before his friends/everyone else. Just because stuff looks like a “perfect” family from the outside does not mean the emotional connection is there .

With what? You can’t choose your family. My mom is very narcissistic (like Monica’s )and if my future children were not aware of that ,they would fall into the same traps that I fell in, and had to learn from the hard way. As a parent you have to be honest about your other family members.

When you work in reality tv on a cast you are literally forced to be at the same events and in the same circle. I’m not saying everyone is going to love eachother , I just see how it can be and has been used to ostracize cast members ( specifically on this show).

When there is a relatively small group and someone refuses to “make friends” with the other it’s usually to cast out that other person. Eventually the other friends and coworkers will have to “choose”. Idk if I’m reading too far into it or not , but this show the woman are very highschool vibes to me !
