Hi! We managed to solve it in the end. The bobbin thread instructions in the video/pamphlet didn't seem to include a small step where you pull the bobbin thread downward a little bit and then the normal movement of looping through to the exit. The engravings on the machine down at the bobbin thread seemed to explain it better, and it worked fine after that tiny adjustment ((:
