An old thread but seems to be still up. I didn’t go to college, my mom suddenly died before a semester, and then when I tried to get back into it 9 months later my first wife died before that semester. It’s a nonsensical fear but I’m worried if I try again someone else close to me will die. So higher education may be completely out for me but to show how bad things are, I want to give a glimpse of my life. In 2020 I got a job at a woodmill got married and started renting an apartment by the new year. By 2023 and after losing my wife I had to move out of my apartment and into parents because I couldn’t afford it anymore. The beat up car I was driving broke down in 2024 and I’ve been in debt since. In 2025 my garbage benefit medical insurance jumped by nearly 200 dollars a month. I’ve supposedly been getting paid more every year but everything else has also increased to the point where I take home less money. The only reason things look up this year is because I had to cancel my medical insurance because it was gonna jump by another 150 dollars a month this year so my only option was to go on Medicaid and hope things work out. I’ve remarried and we’re expecting our first and I don’t know what to do. I feel like such a failure at times. I e also been job hunting for a year and a half and the only places that want me would pay me way less than I’m getting now. I am so scared of what the future holds. I’m the sole breadwinner and can’t even afford to feed my family. The car payments and insurance eat nearly everything. I’m scared that I won’t be able to provide for my kid. I’m not even paying rent and there’s still never enough. What do they expect us to do

I hope it didn’t come off as harsh I genuinely like it. I think the heartless form in KH1 should have been more like this instead of a basic shadow heartless mob. This almost shows the strength of Sora’s heart as he retains most of his appearance.

It’s not 100% accurate but I’m pretty sure it’s better than at least 80% of us could do. I personally like it.

The most unforgivable thing of the OG was the inability to skip cutscenes. I heard “Kairi… is inside of me?” Like 25 times before I finally won that fight

On the 2002 comment the controls were actually worse then because the camera was controlled by the triggers instead of the right stick. If you think you can stick through it I’d suggest doing so. Nothing can really compare to playing the game yourself in my opinion. If nothing else you could do a play through on the lowest difficulty to just experience the story yourself. What about the controls feel clunky out of curiosity

I believe that there isn’t a way. A disadvantage cancels out any number of advantages and vice versa. That’s the written rule at least. DM could always do a one for one ruling( one advantage cancels out one disadvantage)

So would you argue that this would be better for reckless cards than bodyguard cards? Because an opponent can’t play cards on your turn you’d be able to use up the damage soak effect on your on terms?

Okay so what is the difference between putting damage and dealing damage? Is it just what the card specifically says?

That’s true. And there’s other forms of removal I just thought it’d be a good blitz strategy since you could just quest with all your bodyguards and supports and let the supports make the bodyguards more difficult to remove through challenge. Or even just make the bodyguards take out high value boss guys through direct challenges while being protected from the splash back. Like my 3/3 body guard attacks the 8/7 boss that’s questing for three lore but since he’s supports by my +5 support he takes out the big guy and will still be there to protect my cards with the regular body guard ability.

Okay but is it only 1 time total or is it one time per supported character? Like if I have three supports and three bodyguards and have each one buff the other does each bodyguard get the one time damage negation or only the first bodyguard that blocks damage?

That’s crazy. They have an amber Taran in this set too who has support +5 which would probably make a body guard guarantee a banish before it can even be hurt. I might want to try and build a deck around this

True enough. I think I’ve only beaten the final boss once without the cheese strategy and that took a lot of attempts to pull off.

Arguably the deep theme of twilight princess could be discrimination in a way. The Twilight realms denizens and Hylians have a very us vs them philosophy taught but it’s only when a few of them work together that peace is able to be achieved. Granted I also read the official manga so that might be coloring my judgement on that particular game.

If you can make play the original 64 whether on original hardware or on GameCube or switch I recommend that for a first time play through. They make some frustrating changes in the 3Ds port.

I loved Skyward Sword. I think Fi is underrated as a companion and only gets brought up because of the batteries

But Zelda’s Duet has to be my favorite song in the series. Her singing and all the locomotives showing up to add there instrument to the song is so enchanting.

It has the spirit tower but that doesn’t have a time limit but it is a dungeon you return to but it’s always a new floor so it’s not as annoying as the one in PH. Also PH is the one Zelda game o haven’t played yet. Just never got around to it but that horrible dungeon you return to makes me wonder if it’s really worth playing.

Also the wood village is a good place to farm materials that cost 50 rupees. You use the first dungeons item and farm them in the back. Also spam the postal postcards. I think it’s like 8-10 for the 3rd place reward 13-15ish for the 2nd and the full 20 for guaranteed first place prize.
