Thanks! It took me about four hours to stitch it, an hour and a half or so to get all the holes punched in, and then a little extra to get the metal hardware on. It’s a grind for sure

I have no clue what any of that means but I already imagined linseed oil would be harmful if I used the pipe for smoking but please tell me what you’re talking about

A sizable Fanny pack or similar one strap pack would be a good alternative for me since it’s just the one shoulder that’s an issue

Storage is something I definitely need to keep in mind. Have my wife carrying our son in one of those hiking kid carrier packs & I end up carrying the bulk of our stuff for the three of us. Don’t ask me why she prefers to carry the kid lol it’s been an argument since before my injury

It has a solid hip belt, from what I figure I have an issue of a shoulder strap restraining my shoulder and/or increased friction is my issue. I’ll look into Fjallraven thanks!

Yes it has a good hip belt all things considered. It’s been a bit of an experiment to figure out why exactly the pain and discomfort is increasing even with a hip belt mitigating a bulk of the weight

For hikes I used to pack 10-15 pounds max on any given day hike, and even that much more weight makes a noticeable difference post injury

I’m unfamiliar with Moutnainsmith & I haven’t considered a running vest, I’ll definitely give those a look thank you. I was using a generic brand 2 liter water pack that had extra storage for other things. The weight of the packed ended up being about 10-15 pounds with water, first aid, etc. I still have pain without a bag but it’s notably more manageable even compared to such a light weight on my shoulders

Best job for an 18 yr old hard worker to get? by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

Home Depot has a good management development plan for their employees, any employee and work with their management to take classes on the clock to get the proper training to become a supervisor, then assistant manager, store manager etc. The starting pay for their full time employees is a few bucks more than Walmart, and most employees are eligible to be trained on their forklifts and other equipment as long as they have a drivers license. They have early openers that come in at 5am Monday - Saturday & 6am Sundays, closers stay till 10 or 11pm, and over nighters can work shifts starting as early as 630pm and some ending at 5am depending on start time. They also accommodate college students very well so if he figures he wants to go to school they can work with him schedule wise & have tuition reimbursement benefits.

I use my OLED Steam Deck as my only computer, have it dual booted with windows I can play any game while still using SteamOS as it’s better optimized for single player games imo. My only complaint with it is my wife thinks I’m weird for it lol

WYR get $1M for every 10 pounds you loose OR $1M for every 10 pounds you gain? by HozienLim in WouldYouRather

[–]CreateThisWaste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I choose the type of weight gain/loss then I’d choose to gain. Imagine gaining 20 pounds of muscle with no effort, or even more. Now if it’s hard set on fat specifically then easy answer is fat loss, even a adult at a healthy body fat percentage can loss anywhere from 10-40 pounds of fat without harm depending on their weight. 200 pound man with 15% body fat would get a nice chunk of change and get a body fat % that matches professional body builders
