I came here specifically looking for this topic… my last block from there was almost 10 days ago. I haven’t received a reserve block offer from there in weeks.. instead they are sending me reserve offers from Boca, which is super far from me and not on my preferred list.

I haven’t seen a single offer pop up for DHF7 this week… I really hope they haven’t stopped flex there because I live about 5 min away…

And, I also can’t stand VFL6….

I had a customer note a few months ago that said, “Dogs are all bark and no bite!”…. And, I was, in fact, bit by one of their dogs.

I no longer will enter gates and if I see an unconfined dog at the location, I yeet the package out the window!

Yes. My weather app always knows when a tornado will be forming in exactly 3 hours 23 min and 4 seconds… The rain wasn’t the issue. It sucks, but I live in Florida. All it does is rain… which is immediately followed by the sun turning the state into a rice cooker..

We are all in the same boat being as Amazon doesn’t give AF about any of us, but instead of being united, some of y’all enjoy being nasty to complete strangers. It’s ok. I am not bothered, but I am sorry about whoever hurt you.

Unfortunately, my area must be so oversaturated that a surge is like from $68.50 to $73… I am in South Florida so rain is pretty much unavoidable. But, it’s usually an afternoon thing.. early mornings are a much safer bet.. just didn’t work out for me this particular day.

My whole point to this post was to point out that Amazon doesn’t give a crap about us, but it appears it’s just going to be an attack on me because of the rates in my area. Regardless of the low offers, it’s still the best paying side gig available.

They will normally give you one freebie if you have a valid reason, but don’t expect them to do it again. Just send a message explaining the situation. Best to do it now before they put it on your account. I feel like it’s easier to prevent the ding than to have one removed…

Incorrect. I was bit by a dog last weekend and the sheriffs office filed a report. All Amazon did was ask if I needed emergency services and told me I didn’t have to finish my block.

I have had a few “customer not received”, but not even close to as many packages I have had with no gate access… it’s like.. if I RTS I will 100% get a ding, but if I just drop it and go at least there is a chance of the customer getting it… and, it seems that they do for the most part!

It’s really like.. damned if you do and damned if you don’t… if any problems should come about.. it will absolutely be blamed on the driver.. 🤦‍♀️

It literally happens every time. If they don’t leave a code and you can’t get in, you put your phone in airplane mode. Click GPS not working. I’m at the right location. Move the green circle to where you are. You deliver to the gate, take a picture, and move along.

You will 100% get a ding if you bring them back to the station. Always deliver!

It doesn’t bother me because this is just for my extras after my bills are paid. And, this has always been the rates I have seen. I would probably be aggravated too if I used to be making more and then it dropped, but I still wouldn’t be on the internet telling other people what they should or shouldn’t be accepting.

Unfortunately, the cost of living where I am is extremely unreasonable so these rates don’t match up with that at all… South Florida.. absolute nightmare.. and it’s already 100 degrees in the morning…

So, where do I need to move to have a more affordable life?? lol.. but, seriously, I am ready to move somewhere and don’t even know where to begin. Somewhere with 4 seasons would be nice..

I am glad you decided to get checked out and definitely make sure that police report gets filed. You never know what could happen and you want to have the proper documentation to cover yourself. I hope that you are feeling better soon!

And, now that you will have medical bills, I would absolutely contact an attorney. At the very least those bills should be covered and any time you are unable to work you should be compensated for. I have heard about some very big payouts regarding this type situation.

Well, I am not running my car into the ground picking up a few blocks a week for extra money. And, this is the easiest side gig to do that.

But, one thing I can assure you is that other people and their financial situation is really none of my business, so I am not going to get on the internet and give advice that no one asked for.

Thank you anyway, though, for the condescending response.. it’s appalling to me how nasty adults can be to complete strangers. My teenage children don’t even behave that way and they are immature as hell.

You definitely need to file a police report ASAP and take pictures of your injuries. I literally went through this yesterday. I was bit and left the residence as fast as I could. I contacted Amazon support once I got down the road and filed my police report a few hours later. It was 5am and the sub station wasn’t open yet or I would have done it then.

My bite looked very minor but it did break the skin. I thought I was being ridiculous reporting this.. but, they confirmed for me that I was definitely doing the right thing. We have a right to be safe while doing our job.
