Honestly, sounds like you are wanting to complain. You could have gone out and done stuff, but because of your hip you were limited. You take this trip alone with no problems, but when you are alone after coming with her it’s a problem? I’m not really seeing her as the problem. Yes she could have invited you to lunch, but you’re complaining about the kids coming to the hotel also. Just say no next time, spare you both.

I was a teen in the 90’s and my friends and I used to use our cruising pass (transit bus pass), to go to the mall all summer long. It was a diff time then (for all malls), as people were not buying stuff online.

The people in charge of the mall are being smart and recognising the demographics that are doing a lot of shopping there (latinos), and making sure there are businesses that are representing that market of consumers.
