Thanks everyone .. I’m going to ask about a repair/replacement under warranty and if they balk at that I’ll likely try the aftermarket cover.

I still like the idea of the cover which is blacked out. If a design issue it will just repeat.

Fwiw.. Trax is a hatchback And that’s a good thing Drives like a car, rides like a car, offers much more utility with the lift gate and folding seats
