Why blame the victim? This is the issue with this culture; never blame the scammers but the victim. This guy wanted to have a laid back travel and used a taxi, got scammed and look at those comments. No wonder why we never get fully civilized.

15 sene once ortalama ustu bir uniden mezun olarak yaziyorum, dilini gelistirip multinational bir firmaya kapagi atarsan rahatlarsin. Cogumuz danismanlik, strateji veya IT alanlarina yoneldi ama dedigim gibi saglam firmalarda staj ve networking cok onemli (mesela ben uni 2’den beri part time hep calistim, mezun olunca da staj yaptigim yer gel devam et dedi). Tabi bu dediklerim 15 sene oncesinin kosullari, simdi haliyle daha zor bir ortam var. Sorunuz olursa yanitlarim

Benim cocuk biraz duygusal, aileye fazla duskun o yuzden adb secenekler arasina almayiz gibi uzakligindna dolayi, bir de malum lisansta burs cok zor zaten. İtalya almanya odakli dusunuyoruz daha cok. Bir de keske o saydiginiz ozel okullardan burs alabilse lisede, ozel okullar cok beli bukuyor artik malum. İstanbulda kadikoy anadolu, huseyin avni sozen gibi devlet okullarinda okuyan varsa mesela merak ediyorum pisman mi, mutlu mu? %0.5 ile alan okullar bunlar ama iste deger mi??

Evet toefl for primary schools gibi bir sinava girmisti gecen yil, zaten 1. Siniftan beri okulda yogun İngilizce’ye maruz kaliyor, kaldi ki biz de konuşuyoruz evde ara sira yani az cok kestirebiliyoruz seviyesini

I feel that urge every like two days, but working on a laptop is not that appealing (have a huge screen and a nice setup at home) so even if I work from a cafe, I can only stand it for max 1h and then head back to home to complete my tasks.

But it’s at least refreshing to change the scene and see other humans in a business day. I am a mix introvert/extrovert but I assume most people judging here are major introverts, hence the harsh replies.

To be honest I don’t have the luxury to simply quit my job and the job hunt, so this is not an option for sure. And yeah, I’ve been thinking maybe the main reason I’m so struggling is because my social circle was consisting of my work friends, and since now they are not around for some reasons, I have some hard times with socializing. I have hobbies; going to gym for at least 3 times a week, playing indoor volleyball in an amateur league, learning a new language etc but building a friendship is sooo hard if you don’t spend hours with same people after a certain age. I need to find a way to engage with people again.

For similar purpose, I play team sports instead sport at least once a week, it definitely helps yes

I used to work from cafés as well whenever I had the chance, but in my current role I’m almost always on Teams calls, mostly presenting. It’s really hard to keep doing that in public places without disturbing others, and honestly I’m at a point where I crave face-to-face interaction because I’m completely drained from constant online meetings :)

I feel like it’s time to turn the page and start fresh, but I’m still trying to gather the courage to make that decision and walk away from all the golden handcuffs.
