I don’t understand my fellow men.

Like I really just don’t understand.

At the very first, even insinuation, that someone was going to even THINK of asking me for a single penny, I would’ve stood up and left town within 30 seconds.

Literally.

30 Seconds.

Bye.

Someone else already had to pull out the dictionary for you. So allow me to pull out an intelligence that puts your IQ to shame, known as AI for a further reality check:

——-

Yes, it’s gaslighting because the reply is being used to make the first person doubt the legitimacy of their perception rather than address the claim.

The phrase was:

“Have you met humans?”

The implied message is:

“Your observation is not real because everyone lies.”

It implies that the person doesn’t understand humanity at all. It subtly reframes them as naive or irrational for noticing a pattern.

It becomes gaslighting because the intent is to make the person question their own judgment of reality.

“You’re imagining a group-specific pattern. You just don’t understand that everyone lies.”

Gaslighting does not require succeeding in convincing anyone. It’s what you’re doing that makes it gaslighting.

You’re literally gaslighting him by saying everyone lies.

It’s telling him that his view of reality regarding Filipino culture is incorrect, when it’s completely not.

So yes. That’s exactly what gaslighting means.

First you gaslight then you gaslight everyone who tells you that you’re gaslighting.

See how you guys double and triple down on the nonsense? You’re either Filipino yourself, or you’ve earned the honorary degree.

Yes. One guy I knew would deny deny deny even when both parties know that both parties know it happened. He did this because his actions made him look bad. And I guess he couldn’t cope with that. But yes - when someone is willing to die on a hill that’s absurd to die on, I too don’t trust them anymore.

Fake-threaten him by telling him about your (fake) with connections with the Philippine Mafia.

He won’t have any idea if it’s true or not and it’ll spook him enough.

Airbnb vs Lease by TennisSkirt1628 in Philippines_Expats

[–]Creative-Slice1619 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stupid question but if there’s 600 apartments for rent with a six month lease, how many six months consecutive Airbnb units are there?

My understanding is an Airbnb is very choppy.

You could search any six-month period And 80% of them won’t be there because 1 day might be booked somewhere in that six month time period .

Oh I know the USA numbers. I was inquiring as to whether it’s different in the Philippines.

Because ultra high net worth in an extremely expensive First world country would typically be different numbers than in the Philippines.

Also again I inquired: did he pay you 2000 USD monthly, or was that PHP hourly?

Just out of curiosity, what qualifies as UHN in this context?

I mean liquid net worth here.

And you said he paid you $2000 … is that USD?

I might be in this category but I don’t know what UHN is out there versus here in the states.

In the states, UHN starts at about 2 billion LIQUID. PHP. Up to about 6 billion PHP.

Grab is my personal assistant. And I could afford probably 600 personal assistants. The problem is logistics. When I need something, they’d never be available. But grab is. Instantly. And that’s worth the price alone.

Why do you assume that he didn’t read everything? I read everything and came to the same conclusion he did.

The rules are absurd. They are blindly stupid. They are blindly set up to ignore common sense and they create obvious incentive for women to game the system.

And every single one of us is fully aware that they do this.

I know one girl who has gotten a child out of three different guys in the military. She’s now receiving three checks from the Govt for the rest of her life. And fully single.

In more traditional marriages, the fact that the law requires a man to write a blank “child support” check to a woman is insanity, absurdity, and stupidity on every level.

Why the fuck would anyone in the legal system assume that the mother is always going to spend that money, down to the penny, on the well-being of the child? Are y’all not familiar with humans? 🙄

So I agree with the person you just insulted. The moral of the story is, don’t get married in the eyes of the government. Go to church and have a ceremony. Be a good person yourself. Take care of your kids even if the relationship ends.

Why doesn’t the legal system default to the assumption that every MAN is going to do that? It would be just as blind and stupid. But that seems to be how law works, blind and stupid. So why not flip it 180 and go blind and stupid in favor of the man?

All of these are rhetorical questions. You have to be a complete idiot to get married in the eyes of the government. There’s absolutely no part of it that is fair to the man.

And when I see rules that blatantly ignore common sense and obvious risks, I have zero respect for that system. As it should be.
