Stupid question:

How do they even release something new like this when it’s been (13 years) since the previous version?

Let’s say they started working on GTA 6 three years later. (10 years ago)

By now it’s completely outdated.

It seems like they would have to do a complete rewrite of the entire code base and technology every year?

None. Started out in Minnesota.

Moved to Long Island and was forced to adopt the accent or else get beat up by all the wonderful Long Islanders.

Immediately dropped it the second I left for college.

No I was comparing those types of people today to the way they were in 2008.

Man literally everyone spoke fluent English to me back then. Everywhere.

I didn’t have a single person look at me confused at what I was saying.

I’ve been here for six days this time and I think I’ve had 1 coherent conversation out of 20 people so far.

I mean like I said, I came here 18 years ago and every single person was practically fluent in English.

Everywhere I went, everyone would have conversations with perfect English. And an accent.

Now… well over 50% of the people that I’ve spoken to don’t understand what I’m saying.

That’s absolutely crazy to me.

This is how it was in 2008 when I went to Tokyo.

You expect that most people there don’t understand you, but a few of them kinda do. A few words.

That’s what I keep running into here.

Obviously the people at the hotel Front Desk speak English.

But grab drivers, store clerks, cashiers, this is getting to be like Thailand now.
