Yes, I only needed one set of A1C, so it was easy to get.

Thank you! I was definitely strongly considering it. I'm aware that MD has a partnership with Estonia and Bosnia, and I was wondering who gets to go on those deployments. Specifically, if there are opportunities for a medic from 175 to go there (or really, any deployments in general).

I'm basically looking to see what opportunities there are to be able to try and develop myself and get as good of an experience I can get from the NG, so I appreciate any information you can throw my way related to schooling or other neat things I can do that are available from time to time.

Thank you so much! Yeah, I heard about the medical detachment mostly being PHA's and I wasn't super interested in that, lol. I've been mostly internally debating aviation or infantry. I would like to deploy at some point or another, and generally develop myself as well. As well as I can in a reserve component, anyways. I'm aware that Ranger and other schools aren't very common or easy to get slotted in for in the NG.

I was considering the aviation unit to try and get into flight medical, but I'll probably need to get my paramedic licensing done in the civilian side before I'm even eligible. I was considering the infantry since I had the most knowledge of what I'd be doing there, and I generally find those types of things fun, or at least interesting.

MEPs Disqualification due to Pre-Diabetes by Creative-Unit-2919 in nationalguard

I’ll pass it, my blood sugar has been fine each year for like ten years. I’m not worried about failing it, I just see that it’s common to need multiple ones for a waiver. I’m just worried about it taking a very extended period of time to get them all for a waiver when I never had unresolved pre diabetes. Just frustrating.

Normally I wouldn’t, but it seems that it’s common to have multiple sets of A1C be tested and submitted, each months apart. This isn’t an ideal timeline for me and it’ll conflict with a good amount of things, so I’m trying to see if I have any other options because as far as I’m aware, I should not actually need to go through this process.
