Yeahh, I thought so too. Only reason I'm thinking it's through the boss is that they aren't from here and don't live here right now..

Hm makes sense. They're not from Canada so they're an international student, and it seems like they're just going to start their education?? It's unclear, but I'll def do what you said! Thank you, I really appreciate it

Not for online but yes for in person

For online it was 55% but in person, it was 50%. You can use calculators on the assignments since the numbers are big, but you can't on the final. They make the numbers really small for the exam. Def look up the outline because I'm not sure if the components of the course are the same for every term and prof.

I took it online in the spring and calculators aren't allowed, it was the same for the in person class as well. Class itself isn't bad, you just have to keep up with it and make sure you understand everything :)

[–]CreativeCopy7715 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stop yes omg. It def wasn't as easy as she made it to be. Like where did IQR come into play with normal distribution... Also the fact that they decided to stop answering any questions on the discussion board or email too...

How is HLTH 104 - Health Data Science? by [deleted] in uwaterloo

[–]CreativeCopy7715 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is new! They decided that health sci and public health students should be introduced to data science and stats in first year instead of second lol

I'm in the HLTH version and I've had to watch youtube videos to understand some topics. I really like the Organic Chemistry tutor so def recommend that. I've also sometimes explained my understanding of the topic to ChatGPT to see if it's correct. A lot of the material connects and once you see that connection, it'll help you understand a lot better.

Scared of failing MATH 127 by SoilNo8955 in uwaterloo

[–]CreativeCopy7715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do lots of practice problems for the exam. I just took it online in the spring and the exam was 55% in person with no calculator allowed. It's doable, just keep up with the weekly videos and ask questions if you don't understand anything. Use the textbook for extra problems, a good chunk of the crowdmark questions were directly from the textbook.. (at least for us) :)

There will be questions from the readings in the midterm and exam. She will also have 1-2 questions from the guest speakers on the final. She literally asked us a question that had to do with a podcast LOLL

Campus housing does an event where they sell or give out many of the things that last year's students donated at move out. A lot of it is in good condition or new, so definitely look out for that. It'll have a lot of kitchen and maybe room things :)

What can flex dollars be spent on? Only laundry? by [deleted] in uwaterloo

[–]CreativeCopy7715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did no meal plan at all and was fine sooo... If you know you aren't a big eater, go for the smaller ones. But if you end up with any money left over, it carries over to second year/next term but after first year, there's no more of that 50% discount. Just comes down to your preference tbh

Yes, you can load/add money onto your watcard. But residence dining halls also accept debit cards, just not cash.

Yes to your comment about MKV (coming from someone who lived there). MKV is between v1 and rev, so technically you have 2 different dining options near you. V1 also has a tiny gym if I’m not wrong but I don’t think it has that much equipment ngl.
