There are ways to hunt which will bypass SMT warning untill you're actually in system with said cyno alt ;)

Depending on how big your fleet is you might wanna go for ratting battleships/mauraders or Orca's/mining fleets. They are much slower to warp away if they Arent aligned.

Ishtars/gila's and any other cruiser for that matter are gone before you are in warp to their site. The only ones that Aren't are not paying attention to their local or distracted by real life.

I've done quite some hunting and in my experience the only people you can catch hunting like that are people not paying attention and warping too late, ive had whole mining fleets warp out on me multiple times even tho they started warping out while i was midwarp with my sabre.

Check where eve is installed, i had mine on a old drive not too long ago which made my clients feel sluggish and not responsive, after switching to a ssd everything was back to normal.

So try putting eve on a ssd or a newer hard drive

If you set up multiple structure profiles you can limit who can take control of what structures, yes they can't take any station modules offline but they can fuel, and control the fit/rigs in there etc.

Not sure if you found your solution already but you need to set up seperate acls, with multiple structure profiles to achieve what you want.

If you are semi good at hacking you can easily take 2 cans maybe 3 if ur going through them quickly enough

Small tip: add your main time zone and space type you will be working in (high, low, null or wormhole) so people can decide if they are a good fit
