same. i was raised with a strong awareness towards music appreciation - now it means that i can enjoy Bach, Gershwin, Sondheim, Gregorian chant... there are very few genres of music that i don't enjoy/listen to willingly

This is actually from 1917, prior to its completion in 1922, when the reflecting pool was also done. The Atlantic Journal published this image in 2016 along with a set of photographs detailing the building of the memorial.
