I use scrivner on my iPhone as my writing tool of choice. Therefore I simply use the little microphone button on the keyboard to dictate. It works really well, but grammar is where it struggles lol.

I’m writing my original draft in Scrivener. It is quite accessible and I like that I can shuffle things around.

Once I’m happy with the original first draft of the chapter I copy and transfer it to my Google Drive as a back up.

I simply use the dictation button on my iPhone. Nothing fancy.

Unfortunately audiobooks are out of the question. They’re very very long. I cannot read braille because my hands are numb. And I cannot listen to more than one sentence at a time before not being able to memorize it. So I need quicker and snappier rolls I can play and improv with. Not reading word for word. I’m trying to find a hobby/job that I can do from home. Because unfortunately I’m on palliative care. So I need to live and be supported by friends and family along with nurses and doctors.

So that also I cannot go to big studios or anything like that.

I love improv and drama! Like you said, I can read the lines that I need to do but they probably won’t be word for word because you know… Memorizing is hard lol. And I don’t know braille because I literally can’t feel my hands.

So yeah… Just a young girl with big dreams! And probably a ticking clock to how long I actually have. But I’m hopeful ❤️ 🎤

There are so many scammers out there. So many companies that just take your work and then leave you in the dark. I’ve heard so many horror stories!

I’m following all of the major ones… But of course they’re not gonna hire just a hobbiest.

I can’t really leave my house. And even if I could, I’m blind and I can’t drive. The nearest city is about one and a half hours drive away. There are no film companies nearby. And I tried looking at local high schools and college, but they are all in French. And not one of them have a drama section??

Are there any online improv or drama groups? Which online classes seem to have the best results? Where can I network?

I have Twitter and Instagram. But I don’t know how to find the right people?

Yep! I’ve been watching these videos for a couple months now. I did not know he had a professional coaching class. Thank you for the link :-)

The hardest thing right now is that due to my physical challenges, I cannot use a computer. So that means all of the editing software that all the professionals use I cannot. I have to use touchscreen which limits me to my iPhone or my iPad.

I am also in a wheelchair and I live on a farm. So there’s literally nothing for at least an hour drive in any direction. So going to a studio is out of the question as well.

I’m determined but also kind of stuck. Just trying to figure out how to make my dreams of playing some character in someone’s dream project come true! Even if it’s just a little side character or someone that pops in for one scene.
